We have a West Coast Sourdough on the East side and I am thrilled! West Coast Sourdough has absolutely stolen my heart! The bread here is fresh, flavorful, and baked to perfection--every bite feels like a little slice of heaven.I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with coleslaw, and it was pure indulgence. The buffalo flavor was perfectly balanced, and the chunky pieces of chicken in every bite were just incredible. The sandwich was so delicious that I devoured it in no time!My sister tried the turkey pesto, toasted with all the veggies, and the aroma alone was mouthwatering. She raved about how flavorful and satisfying it was, and I'll definitely have to try it next time. The staff were helpful and efficient and the restaurant was spotless. This place has officially become my new favorite sandwich spot, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

Delicious! I stopped in for a quick soup for dinner. I ordered the Tomato Bisque, which is offered daily. I splurged and ordered the soup in a sourdough bread bowl. The soup was delicious, however the bread bowl was so fluffy and pillowy; it was eating a cloud. The bread bowl is warmed in the oven and slightly toasted. This helps the soup stay hot! I was worried that the soup would dry up and make the bread soggy but this was some hardy bread! I asked for some butter and wow, it blew me away! I will never make sourdough bread... process is complex and long, but I have my go to now when I want fresh sourdough. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and today. While there are multiple locations, each location is owned by a different franchisee. There is one opening in downtown off 24th Street. I can't wait because that location is near me. I also ordered a lemon white chip cookie. The cookie was so delicious however, I was so full from the soup that I could only take a couple of bites. The cookie is thick and full of lemon flavor and taste home made.I hope to be back to try other things from the menu ! Enjoy!

We came here specifically because they advertised gluten-free options, and after a long 6+ hour drive, we were hoping for a satisfying meal. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday afternoon, and the place was clean, including the bathrooms. However, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. The woman who took our order was loud and seemed more focused on chatting with a friend about personal matters than explaining the ordering process. When I asked for gluten-free bread, I was told only 6-inch sandwiches were available for gluten-free which was disappointing. I ordered the turkey, and my husband got the brisket. The sandwiches were underwhelming. The gluten-free bread was incredibly thick, making each bite a struggle that required washing it down with my drink. My husband wasn't impressed with the brisket, either; it lacked flavor and tasted like it had been sitting around for a few days. The only redeeming part was the sauce that came with it, which he enjoyed. At $12 per sandwich, we were expecting much better quality. Unfortunately, this place didn't meet our expectations, and we'll be sticking to Jersey Mike's next time.

OMG this place is a gem! I have been wanting to give it a try and found myself in the area and hungry. Before I even got through the front door, I could smell the fresh baked bread! The interior of the restaurant is very open and spacious. It had some cute decor with lots of wood for the rustic look. I decided to try the southwest chicken salad and was so happy when I spotted the free slices of fresh, homemade sourdough bread that was included. Everything was delicious but the bread was out of this world!!! I will definitely go back for a bread bowl of chowder.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. My husband and I went this past Wednesday around 7pm and they close at 8pm. It wasnt busy at all. The store looked very clean and I loved the country music playing. Right when we walked in we were greeted. Woman at register was kind, we put our order in and our food came quick. The sandwhiches looked perfect for a food photo. The bread was delicious! They were toasted and warm. The house sauce was great. With my sandwhich I got American cheese which reminded me of off brand American singles so next time I'll get a different cheese. But my sandwhich was delicious. I had a bite of my husband's sandwhich, the roast beef....delicious! I saved my salad for lunch the next day. I had to use my own ranch at my house because they only give a little cup of dressing but it was good. My husband didn't care for the clam chowder, I didn't care for it neither but that just means we won't get the chowder again in the future. I would love to return and try a different sandwhich, they all look so good!

What can I say about this place. Had been craving the chicken poblano soup and the turkey cranberry sandwich so went last night to settle my craving and so glad I did. Being cold here lately the soup hit the spot. Was only able to eat half the sandwich but now I'll have left overs for today. I will have to try so of their other sandwiches as they sound delicious. I especially want to try the BBQ brisket sandwich next time I go. They have several locations throughout Bakersfield so if close to one and wanting a sandwich give them a try. Their sourdough bread if fantastic. Place is clean and staff is friendly and helpful with making recommendations.

After a number of visits to this eatery, I continue to be totally impressed. I mean totally!!! (Now does that sound like a "Valley" girl, or what?) Yes, friendly smiles, service, and terrific food. Fast, reliable quality and quantity, unlike their competitor whose name reminds one of a "submarine!" And one other biggie for all "eatery" goers...that is clean, spotlessly clean facilities that are up-to-date, well stocked and looked after on a regular basis. WOW! Way to go West Coast Sourdough!!!! The hits just keep on coming...and by that I mean GREAT music, too...a little something for everyone!!

West Coast Sourdough... your bread rises you to the top! We ordered 12" The Cracked Pepper with all the works. The cashier was friendly and the sandwich came out quickly. They even cut it in half and separated it for us. An extra step that we very much appreciated (:The sandwich came on a very hardy, crusty sourdough baguette. The bread was chewy, slightly tangy, and very satisfying. The ratio of meat to veggies to bread was portioned well. The special spicy mayo is a must get! (Delicious and not spicy at all.)Ultimately, I'd say it's an elevated sub sandwich spot compared to other chains because the bread. That's why you go here.I'd happily go back and try another sandwich any day.

Ordered two kids meal. One was a tiny bowl of Mac n' cheese with a side of apple sauce. $8.49. The other kids meal was for a grilled cheese. We get home and had to microwave it just to melt the cheese. So disappointed with this sandwich, no way is one slice of bread and a few slices of cheese (that wasn't even grilled) worth $9.00. Not sure this is just a new business getting started and working out the kinks but still... not sure we'd come back.
