Vortex Powered Paragliding

I just finished a week long training at Vortex PPG. Joe Cruz was my instructor. He is an awesome instructor. He listens, is patient and encouraging. Joe doesn't push you to move faster than your ready. He adjust your training to your learning style and needs. My training included kiting, tows, and solo flights. I was surprised to get in 11 solo flights during my time there and could have done more if not for some personal restrictions that developed towards the end. The facility is great. They have an air conditioned class room and lounge. There are real bathrooms on site as well as showers. When it comes to equipment, there was no push. Joe and Vortex listen to what you want and what you are interested in and provide feedback. Again there was never a push to buy anything. Vortex is also right outside of Visalia,Ca. The town is around 150,000 people and has most anything you would need. Vortex is also close to Sequoia National Park. I would recommend Vortex PPG and especially Joe Cruz to anyone interested in quality training and an awesome experience. Michael Archuleta

If you want to set up paragliding lessons, go elsewhere. Answers one out of five calls, will tell you he's busy and that he'll call you back but won't. If you call back after that, he just hangs up on you. Very unprofessional. Good luck getting lessons, although I don't think I'd trust my life on someone so inept as this.
