Village Pet Market

Me and the bird stopped in here yesterday to look for a ladder shaped like a "V". No ladders like that were available, but as always they did have a good selection of foods for feathered family. I always check the dates on packaged bird food because some of it sits around. I was able to find food that was fresh so I bought it and put it in the freezer.This store is in a very large plaza and there is plenty of parking. There is also a very stout bicycle rack outside on the north end of the business. This rack is mostly out of view and provides something to attach a lock to. The staff and customer are very kind, there is so much for dogs and cats.

What a great pet store to stumble upon! We came here because it was next door to Trader Joe's. We came in for the dog friendly bakery items. They have such cute pup cookies. We got our boy a small peanut butter cup and needless to say he LOVED IT! Will be back especially for his bday cookie

Passing through Bakersfield with our newly rescued American Bully had us scrambling to find quality, grain-free kibble and boy were we excited to find Village Pet Market. I dialed them quickly to ensure they had our favorite, Taste of the Wild on deck, and they did. Snagged a large bag of The Fish Puppy Formula, that is in small bites, perfect for our 18y/o Pomeranian too. The store was clean, easy to find, and had plenty of parking.Couldn't leave without a couple collapsible silicone bowls for walks, and a large Chicken flavored Nylabone for the boy. I was excited to see a large selection of quality, Pendleton dog beds and wish we weren't so packed in the SUV back to OC or we would've grabbed one. If they ship, I'll definitely be placing an order ASAP.Jenna was great at checkout. Smiles, eye contact, and even was able to assist us with an ID tag creation, and what an awesome selection of tag styles. We selected the quiet tag in chrome and black.I wish we had a Village Pet Market in our town in Orange County, we would be here weekly if we could!! Thanks Jenna and the Village Pet Market team!!

Truly want to support local. Girl in the aisle stocking while trying to purchase cat food. Not once did she asked if we had questions or needed help but told us 3x to excuse her as she stocked food on the shelves in the same aisle. THEN the product we decided to purchase, in order to get the $2 off the 5lb bag, we had to be a member. No empathy from the customer service there. Left a weird taste in that Village Pet visit that day. Oh well.Nothing personal, just taking my business elsewhere.

Staff exceptionally well informed and HELPFUL!!! Wonderful product selection. Was our first trip but will not be our last!!

My ex calls this store as "the pet store with the really nice stuff." My go to place for nice pet clothes, and food that isn't in the big chain stores. There is also a frequent dog food buyer program where you get some discount ....Of course I've gone to Petco and large chain stores like that, but its true when I want to get something nice, like pet clothes I come here. I really like that the nice store is locally owned and we get such friendly and helpful personal service by employees who seem to really enjoy being there.It's right by the Trader Joe's so it's convenient when I'm doing my weekly shopping.

My wife bought two dog cookies & noticed they sold CBD chews. She wanted to try the chews out on our anxious pooch. Well unfortunately when she got home she realized that the clerk failed to bag the CBD chews. When she called the pet store & alerted them to their mistake the manager Jenna didn't care so basically my wife is out the $12. Guess we know never to shop there again. If you do chose to shop there make sure they put everything in the bag.

Village Pet Market is a specialty store just for your furry/feathery companions. I've visited this place a few times now and every time I have visited this store and brought home fresh baked cookies for the pups, Dobby can sniff out those goodies from a mile away and Kreacher always whines when I bring something home for him because can sniff out the goods too.The downfall to this store is that a lot of the products at this store can be found at your neighborhood Walmart and can be bought at a lower price; however, you can find everything from food, to leashes, to clothes, to other special items all in reach without having to look around and spend hours searching.The store itself is not too big and is a bit smaller than PetSmart, but you can literally find every type of dog/cat food brand in this store. They even have cute decor for the dog lover's home. Pretty much anything you can think of for your pet is probably sold here.I specifically come here for the baked treats. They have tons of treats on display daily and is always freshly made. Every time I have come in, there's always different, new and fun looking treats for the fur babies. This is definitely my local go to store for the doggies when I wanna buy them a treat.

Amazing selection in dog toys, treats, and so much more! Came here for my puppy's birthday treats but ended up with so much more haha! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me make a dog tag using their machine and answered any question I had! I'll definitely be coming back for more treats! My dog loved them!

Employees are helpful, good product selection. Can get pricey but you get what you pay for here.
