Village Inn Motel

Perfect little gem in Tulare. Cheap, nice, huge room, free wifi, and run by the little family who lives in the back of the check in desk! We just stopped here on our way to the sequoias!

The outside area is kind of sketchy... But never judge a book by its cover. the inside smells very nice right when you walk in. The room is large and spacious. The room comes with a small dining table which is very cute. The bathroom is very clean and comes with a blow dryer. The wifi here is decent and free. The business is run by a small family who lives behind the front desk.

The room was decent. With all the wildfires, many hotels didn't have rooms. We came across this one at the last minute. It was cheap and easy to get to. However, it was nothing new or fancy. The window AC took about 8 hours to cool the room down with the bathroom door closed. It'd be okay for a night if it's not really hot outside, but it wouldn't be my first pick.*Main thing for me is no bugs. I did not see any bugs while there. Phew!*

They don't clean there rooms. Yes they make the beds(not sure if they wash the sheets). I do know they don't clean the showers or dust or sweep the rooms. Very disgusting!!

I booked the room before reading the reviews. From the outside it looks pretty decent but inside is infested with roaches and the whole night I felt extremely uncomfortable to sleep I was even considering just paying for a room at a different locating. Checked out at the crack of dawn. This was my first and last time here.

5 stars for good quality at a low price. Tulare is a nice place to stop on a Sacramento to LA trip if you want to make some miles after work, and the price makes that affordable.Quiet neighborhood a mile from the restaurants and outlet mall. Ample parking in front of your room since trucks have a large dirt lot by the freeway. Classic motel w solid concrete block walls so you won't hear adjacent rooms. Attractive solid retro-look tile and fixtures. Electric switches and outlets were all modern, as were TV and microwave. Beds felt fine.Clerk when we checked in was very nice. Sound from Hwy 99 was minor and only heard if you opened the rear bathroom window. Ignore paid downer posts from competitors.

So disgusting the sheets were dirty and used they just turned them inside out. There was food crumbs in the bed, The carpet was sticky! They left hair on the bathroom walls she refuse to give us deposit back cause she was going need to vacuum and throw away one cup! She also was upset the bed wasn't made! But when we checked in their was writing and carvings all over the bed frame and tables! I did housekeeping and I will admit if I was I wrong and left a mess but there was nothing wrong and nothing broken she just wanted to keep the deposit. All rooms have been disgusting the few times I been there

This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star. We booked for 3 nights to visit family, check in the lady couldn't find our reservation took over 10 mins to find it. Tried to say we didn't book one when I booked it over a month in advance. The room was dirty. The pillows were flat and sheets looked old and dirty. The refrigerator was gross and the tiny freezer was just caked with ice. The bathroom and show was gross and dirty. No water pressure for the shower at all. Like I said we were there 3 nights and not one time did we get room service. No clean towels or anything. Had to keep taking out the trash can since no one entered the room to clean or anything. There were spiders in the shower, the shower head wasn't connected to the tile so there were spiders crawling out of the back of the shower head and up the shower drain. There were roaches all over the room. I had multiple roaches crawling on the bed and I had to swat a few off me while laying in the bed. I will not be coming back to that nasty hole in the wall motel. I rather pay more and go to the motel 6 up the street. Don't waste your money! Very nasty, dirty, gross and roach and spider infested.

Pros - Quiet and fairly clean. A/C and mini-fridge work fine, no bugs.Cons - Bed is as stiff as stone, Wi-fi keeps cutting out, the stench outside the door in the morning can make you gag (think stockyard dust and manure).After staying in some budget motels that can't seem to do anything right, it's sort of a relief to get the basics done right here.

This motel is bad! Outside - noisy, factoriesInside - bed bugs, made me and my kid very itchy, no microwave, no coffee maker, not even a tissue box, bathroom is worst, no counter to put your toothbrush, 1920's showerI should have spent $25 more not to stay in this very very bad place!I feel bad for my kid to spend a night here.
