Best breakfast burrito yet. And reasonably priced. Called in my order and was ready when I got there. Nice patio area to sit as well.

This is a good local spot. Vickys a sweet lady and her food is authentic. It tastes homemade which is a good thing. Her burritos are about average size and they're a good meat to bean ratio (meaning plenty of meat). Their usually in front of Home Depot but with the Covid-19 thing they've moved down Rosedale to right before you hit Allen Rd. South side of the street next to Hall Photography.

Mistakes are made. Sacrifices are made. The realm of taco trucks often demands a high price to be paid in a multitude of mediocre meals before any satiating level of delectability can be achieved. Sadly, Vicky's truck on Rosedale in Bakersfield exacts the same. I have ordered multiple times from Vicky's attempting to get something notable to write about. I first tried the asada burrito composed of beans, rice, onions, and cilantro with some red salsa on the side. I cannot even give this concoction a seal of acceptable because, by the time I reached the bottom, I was so inundated with salt that I couldn't finish. During my first visit I caught a glimpse of a chile verde special, so I decided to give Vicky's another chance down the road before I wrote my review.I skipped breakfast to give my return every possible advantage. I ordered a CV burrito and one Al Pastor taco. This is a cost effective strategy I often employ to sample future burrito fillings without having to commit to the cost or size of a burrito. I'm sure I have tasted worse CV, but, after the canned sauce, the sandy texture, and the overall bland taste of the pork, maybe not. Every ingredient that could be pre-made tasted pre-made. The only saving grace was the lone al pastor taco. With enough salsa to drown away my sorrows, the al pastor might even make a decent burrito if it wasn't for, you know, everything else.

I really enjoy the Al Pastor tacos at Vicky's Kitchen. It has become my favorite place for them. Unfortunately, she moved her tacos over on Mt. Vernon Ave, right outside Home Depot. Which means it is much further from me now. They are still worth the extra miles though.

I would consider myself a taco snob, and these are HANDS DOWN my favorite tacos. So full of flavor, not fatty at all, and they give you lots of meat. They don't skimp you on the garnishes. Service is quick and always great. Highly recommend. --side note the updated location is on rosedale hwy near Allen rd--

They have some great breakfast burritos, good size, fair price and a bit picante; my go to. Although they are actually off of rosedale and allen these days.

Food is bland, spicy and expensive. Just because you put Chile on everything, doesn't make it taste good. Wasted $30 on a burrito, torta and small quesadilla. Took 3 bites of the burrito and threw the rest in the trash. The food doesn't look anything like the pictures on the truck. Never again.
