We had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant! The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa had the perfect level of spice--just the right kick to get things started. We also tried the blackberry margaritas, and they were delicious--tart, refreshing, and perfectly balanced.I had a chilie relleno burrito, and I'm so glad I did--it was incredible! The burrito was packed with flavors, and the cheese oozed out with every bite. The tostada was equally impressive--crisp, fresh, and loaded with tasty toppings.It turns out the restaurant is connected to the Velascos in Sanger, which sadly burned down, so we were thrilled to discover them. It felt like a bit of a hidden gem, especially given the high quality of the food.The ambiance was lovely--comfortable and warm, with a vibe that allowed us to enjoy our meal without shouting over the noise, even though the place was full. Our server was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.All in all, we were really happy with our visit and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend!

The front waitress overcharged us. We didn't know until the next morning while my boyfriend and I are talking about the food. Sat evening 8/31 about 7:20pm, we walked in and asked order to go. My boyfriend is vegetarian which he didn't really have any options. He ordered bean and cheese burrito. We asked if the bean is cooked with lard and the waitress said yes. So we opted out the bean and just went with cheese and added guacamole. According to the menu, the burrito is about $8. ( again, I was really tired from the hike at sequoia so I didn't pay attention to the charge) Then I ordered chile verde which is $14.95. The pork is flavorful for sure. And rice is tiny amount and no lettuce or other stuff. The finally bill with the tax is $34 dollars which means the waitress charged the burrito to about $15 at least. The receipt only showed the amount. Very dishonest.

A very traditional Mexican place. Festive decorations, mustard walls, glass top table. This place is buzzing at lunch time. The customers seem to be regulars, and chatted friendly with the waitress.The waitress informed me the best dish here is chile verde. That is a dish dear to my heart. The food came super fast. The meat was tender, the sauce was the right amount of tart and spicy. I absolutely devoured it! Great place! $20 for all this food!

I don't think this place gets enough hype. The food is delicious, the staff are nice and on top of it. The place isn't loud but just right. This is a must try if you enjoy Mexican food and are in the downtown area! You will not be disappointed. I'll definitely be coming back.

Had a lunch date with my mom thought we would roam the downtown area and was craving Mexican food. I checked on the Yelp app and they were highly rated so I thought we were in the clear.The service was quick we seated the waitress was nice, but expected a lot more from the food. It was just okay and someone who can't really have red sauce it was difficult to find something to eat.

Walked in at 7:11pm and they made sure to tell us multiple times they close at 8, they even turned people away. Food is mid at best, cheese is the pre-grated store bought, tortillas are as well. Lettuce was the shredded lettuce you buy in the package and tasted like it. Not what I would consider authentic. Servers seemed in a hurry to close. Actually had this same experience about a year ago but thought we'd give them another chance, same outcome. The rest of food was pretty good.
