Transmission Dr Plus

I only came in for a smog check and it was done very quickly. I passed even though I was a little worried. They probably saved me from failing by spotting a hose that I had "repaired" with some duct tape. They offered to change it and I accepted assuming I would have to pay a little for the work. They did not charge me a dime for changing the hose! The owner is a very friendly guy and seems very hands on in his shop. I could tell from how he dealt with me and the other customers that came in while I waited that he is a good, honest, business owner that just wants to do good work for his customers without ripping them off. I've been looking for a good shop in town and I think I found it. I will definitely come back when I need some real work done.

I called and they said they had an opening and it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes to do a transmission fluid change.... so I took it in and 5 hours later it was done...... yes they did flush the coolant but they didnt say it would take an extra 4 hours to do that.....!updated....this was a two star because they took so long to change transmission fluid and coolant flush. but after this review they are messaging me bothering me about my review.... so now it is one star. i dont want to be bothered by the business owner with they took FIVE HOURS!

These folks are just good people.We had a situation where the transmission failed in a Mimi Van that I gave my niece. She is a hard working Mom with 2 kids. She hurt her tailbone in a bad fall and I wanted to give her a gift to help her not another problem. We were both upset and need an understanding and honest shop to help us. Would she put 3,000 into the Van or give it up ? This is a LOT of money for her, they gave us all the confidence we needed to make the decision.Many people call themselves Christians but these folks walk the talk.

Smog check in thirty minutes???? Yes sir!The gentlemen here took care of my smog check (which passed!) in thirty minutes! Luckily i was the only one there and they had just finished up on a previous vehicle. The gentlemen there were helpful and took my car, got my paper work running and allowed me to take a seat. While seated, i was entertained with some food magazines that they had there. And like that thirty minutes flew by and my car was ready to go =D. Thank you Transmission Dr Plus!

This place is no longer in business, but I feel they should reap what they sew by these reviews anyway. I had my 2002 Isuzu rodeo transmission completely rebuilt by them. Twice. If that doesn't say enough, when I had a problem with my gear shift not going into park a year later, I took it to a trusted mechanic who told me they had ZIP TIED the gear shift part together (a hard piece of plastic, it had broken and instead of replacing or letting me know, it was held together by zip tie). I mean seriously. I guess I'm not surprised that they up and ghosted everyone, and I guess I can kiss my transmission "warranty" goodbye.

I have had the worst experience at this place. They lied about replacing parts. I had them investigated by the Bureau of Automotive Repairs and it was indicated to me that I wasn't the first one. They are incredibly dishonest and rude. The "repair" that they performed for me did not fix my vehicle. After MANY assurances from them and hundreds of dollars, my car broke down. Their solution? Drive back from Los Angeles to Bakersfield (120 miles) and we'll see. Very dishonest. I would not wish my worst enemy service with these thieves. I finally got my money back because my credit card company refused to pay them. Steer clear! P.S: I gave them one star because there isn't a negative rating!

Had to go in to have my windshield replaced after a employee at a hardware store cracked it pretty badly. The customer service was amazing, they were able to quickly take my car in, and they finished in half the expected time.I will definitely be here again! :) It's rare to find stand up mechanics.

I took my car there to get a couple seals replaced with factory seals at least that's what they charge me for what I really got was my wheel bearings busted and some knock off squeeze gasket used on my rear axle in a place where it wasn't supposed to be used oh and they never cleaned the axle grease off my brakes so they still didn't work after I left no offense to the owner he has always been great but this mark guy he has working for him screwed me and is really messing up his business

If I could give Transmission Dr Plus 10 stars, I would!My Odyssey transmission was broken on the middle way of road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles. We felt helpless in an unrecognized city. Luckily we found Transmission Dr. Plus on google. Jimmy and Brendon are super nice and honest guys. They rebuilt the transmission and did a great job. I highly recommend the shop.

I had a great feeling as soon as I talked to Jimmy on the phone about bringing my truck in. Then I had a even better feeling when the shop owner took time to help me instead of waiting for Jimmy to finish up with the customer he was helping. They worked fast to diagnose the problem then called and had a approval from my warranty company within 2 1/2 hrs of my appointment time. I had taken my truck to another shop that miss diagnosed the problem with my truck after having it for 5 days. These guys are great and I will definitely use them again and recommend other people to try them out. Thanks
