I can't believe I've lived in California my entire life and never visited the Sequoias until now. It was such an amazing experience. The weather was perfect, and the trails were incredible. This place is absolutely stunning. I hope to come back someday.1/11/25

Trail of a 100 giants small parking lot. Came around 5pm on a Saturday. The drive up from Kernville very narrow road lots of switchbacks. You also drive thru a ton of dead trees from previous fire. Very huge cool trees to look at only issue is it is closed off at a certain point. Trees are impressive very huge bases and tall. Something to see.

Such a beautiful national park! There is a line at the entrance on weekends so be prepared for that. The visitor's center is quite small but very nice. The rangers working there are very helpful. Be prepared for many crowds, especially at the largest tree. Otherwise, the park's beauty is really breathtaking: there are so many tall trees and the hikes are easy (if you get lucky to get a parking spot, otherwise you'd have to park by the road and walk to the beginning of the trail)

More like 90 giants.. They were cutting down many of the trees for liability issues (June 13, 2020).. Tips. Get here before 10AM.. The small paid parking lot was full and closed down right after us.. $10 cashIf you arrive after they close the parking lot, no worries. Parking along the street is legal and free.. But on a weekend it might be a long walk down the road to get to this trail..This will be a nice hours walk along paved trails. You are free to walk on and off trail and I encourage you to escape the crowds and find your own area to explore. Great picture opportunities everywhere. I'd personally skip the first few trees if you're looking to take family pictures because those trees are so crowded. There are plenty of giants in this area, some will have nobody else around you.Once you're done with 100 giants and you want to do a short hike to a waterfall, put Nobe Young Creek Falls, Sequoia in Google maps... it's about a 4 mile drive north from 100 Giants but it's well worth it.. The parking lot isn't marked but it's obvious and there will be cars..

I was really excited to visits these large sequoia trees. The trees themselves lived up to the hype and were magnificent. It was really fun to see so many of the huge sequoias left and the signage for each tree was awesome. 5/5 experience. With all of that said, we did not do enough research about road conditions and the status of the park before embarking on the roughly 6,800 ft elevation change on the windiest road ever. It was an adventure to the monument that's for sure. The backroad way took us roughly an hour and a half to drive 31 miles and then we took the more known road down the other side due to how windy the roads were. The other side of the mountains roads were actually closed up to the monument due to excess snow blocking the roads and road wash out (we did not know this before hand.) Some local firemen assured us it was safe to continue the way we were going and we made it down safely. Drive 1.5/5 experience. Overall, the monument itself was awesome and I'm really glad we drove up to see it but I encourage anyone looking to embark on the drive to see the sequoias to learn from us and do the proper research on the road conditions and how to safely make it up to see them.

Perhaps overhyped? It's about an hour to get there so if you are doing any other hikes in the area then it would be worth the drive. As other reviewers have said, there is graffiti on tree stumps and it's maybe lesser trees now. Parking is $10 now so try to get there before 9 to get a spot. It's a super easy trail, busy with lots of guests who some happened to be speaking really loudly or playing loud music. Hard to be one with the trees. I would probably not recommend this and go on on a different excursion such as hike to a waterfall at Nobe Young as someone else on Yelp mentioned (thanks! It was a lovely and quiet place to see a waterfall) or a hike at the bridge to see a cave.

Located in the Sequoia National Forest, not to be confused with the Sequoia National Park, this is a must stop if you find yourself driving through the National Forest.Parking is $5. A total bargain. Pit toilets are available here as well as picnic tables, camp sites, a marshy meadow and yurts. The Sequoia's are just across the street. There are no facilities here so use them at the parking lot. There is a well maintained paved walkway with a multitude of signs allowing the walk. The loop is under 2 miles and fairly easy for people of all abilities, including wheelchairs. Each major Sequoia has an informational marker telling you about the tree, it's age and other trivia. There are also signs identifying trees and plants along the way and how to identify the various varieties.Sadly there was a recent wind storm that uprooted one of the Giants. It currently was blocking part of the walkway. We were able to walk around off the trail, but for some they just turned around. There are several small streams that flow through this area. Countless wild flowers and small critters. There's something so awe inspiring to stand next to a tree of this size! The stories they could tell! I'm glad I was able to stand with them. Take in their majestic beauty and become one with nature, if only for a second of their existence. A truly remarkable and memorable experience!

While it can be a bit "tricky" to get here, the drive is spectacular coming from either Delome, Porterville or Lake Isabella. Take your time, enjoy the scenery and stop for pictures when you can. The road as of 6/23 is not in great shape with lots of loose gravel and some bad potholes, but any car can easily make it. I drove up in a 22' class B and had no issues. The grove of redwoods is spectacular and well paved. There's a nice little gift shop at the nearby campground. You will need to pay $12 for parking (cash only). It could get "crowded" at times, but it is secluded enough to not get crazy. Very much worth the drive!

This spot is really beautiful in the summer, the prairie flowers were in bloom and the place packed. They charge 10 dollars for parking, but give one a map to go through the whole trail! The trail consisted of giant redwood trees and beautiful torn down roots! Also have a gift store so worth the try! I loved the scenery and the cool map that they gave us! My husband and I can go smoothly through the whole park. Took lots and lots of pictures and kept the map as a souvenir!

Trail of 100 Giants!! What a fabulous description! I did not count how many Giant Sequoia trees we saw, but it was plenty. They cannot be as all big as General Sherman in Sequoia National Park, but they are still impressive. If you are driving up here expecting to have a challenging hike, then you are bound to be disappointed. This trail is only about 1.5 miles long, and it is a very easy hike on a paved trail. I would describe it as a beautiful and wonderful nature walk!! The 2 hour drive we made from Bakersfield was worth the trip to us. There was 4 of us, and we each enjoyed our 5 hours spent here. Yes, it took us 5 hours to hike 1.5 miles! Pretty sad, huh.... We took tons of photos, and we explored a little off the trail. My personal favorite was walking on top of the fallen Giant Sequoia tree which had toppled several years ago. That tree is massive!!!If you love Mother Nature, then a trip to the Trail of 100 Giants is so worth your time!!! If you do not like Mother Nature, then this place is not for you.
