Best sushi and chefs in 100 miles I took my ex-wife there for our rehersal dinner

Sevice is great, as always. However, since the change in ownership food has gone down in quality. The sushi no longer seems as fresh as it once as, and the food from the grill has gone downhill. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

I'm so sad to hear this place is closing! My experience will likely be my first and last due to their closure soon. However, I will say that I enjoyed the entertainment of the chef and he was very generous in portioning our food. This is your typical family ran establishment doing the best they can, nothing fancy. I enjoyed my tender steak but my lobster was a little overcooked. I hear that there isn't another place like this in Ridgecrest, best of luck!

Tokyo House was about to close for good when someone bought it to keep it open. It's always been one of our favorite places for great food, sushi, fun, and atmosphere. Went back to check out how it was going with the new owner and mind blown. Leo is the new owner and master sushi chef. Wound up talking with him and our awesome server Sylvia. Best sushi I've ever had hands down. My wife, brother, and I loved it. I didn't think it could get better but Leo raised the bar. The lobster roll was awesome and the cold cock was fantastic. Going to make it our weekly date night. Thank you Leo!

Surprisingly good sushi for such a small town. Reasonable prices and nice sized cuts of fish on your sushi. They also have a full bar if that's your thing.

Best sushi place in town. You have to sit at the hibachi grill and order their teriyaki tofu--it's divine!

This was so awesome the sushi was off the hook ended up eating almost 5 rolls myself. Cold Cock, Longhorn, Super Dragon, Tiger Roll and a Chef Special! The owner and the server interacted with us which made it a great experience overall!

I got two take-out orders of steak and shrimp hibachi off the dinner menu, priced at 25.95. After taxes it came out to $62. Pricey. Not surprised, it's Ridgecrest.Was greeted, service was fine. As for the food, the steaks were tasty, but our shrimp was definitely overcooked. Wouldn't suggest getting shrimp. Glad I didn't order scallops. Sauce was nice, vegetables were good, the fried rice was okay. Miso wasn't the best, but the salad was good. I enjoyed the ginger dressing. They only had two other sauces neither of which was yumyum/bangbang. Disappointing. When we got to our destination to eat we realized they didn't put any silverware or napkins in the bag. Overall, it's okay. Have yet to try the sushi.
