100% curbed my expectations for this experience. We ordered their samurai sushi (9 pc nigiri), two different rolls, and their uni nigiri. Our favorite part was easily the uni because they were only $17. The quality wasn't the best but the size of the uni made up for it. Sadly, quality of everything wasn't the best. A lot of the fish was kinda mushy and bland. The California roll was missing tobiko.. The samurai sushi set even came with half a stick of imitation crab.. like what the heck? Service outside of the sushi chef was bad. We were forgotten a few times. I did appreciate their koi garden setup though so +10 for that.

Came with my family during lunch. Second time I have been here. Both times were great. The place was so clean it was crazy how clean everything was. The servers were all super nice and friendly. The food was really good. I would definitely keep returning. They have a beautiful Coi pond where you can feed the fish, just ask the hostess for fish food. It is a great place to eat some good food and a fun experience to feed the fish.

Came here with lower expectations seeing how there's a very small Asian population in the area and minimal options for sushi. I definitely didn't expect to find premium fish cuts or omakase type experiences. However, my main gripe is how the prices did not reflect the lower quality of sushi. The sushi combo was $42, but had imitation crab as one of the pieces. The California rolls were $12 but didn't even use real crab and weren't dusted with tobiko. The only positive part of the meal was getting two large pieces of uni gunkan for $16.75. For the prices we paid here, we definitely would've gotten a much better experience even in Bay Area with its exorbitant prices.

I like everything about Tokyo Garden! The food and fresh fish, Service by friendly servers and greeting when you enter, and the Ambiance!! When you enter the restaurant you walk on a wood bridge past a small Japanese garden with koi pond, full of Japanese koi!! As you enter the restaurant you are greeted with a hostess in authentic wear. I like the authenticity of their Japanese style of cuisine. Today I started with Hiyayakko (chilled tofu), topped with green onions, and katsuobushi (bonito flakes), along with grated ginger. Oh so good on a warm day!! My bento box came with green salad and miso soup. I had teriyaki salmon and shrimp and vegetable tempura (tempura was light and not greasy- you can tell by the color of the batter) potato salad and rice. I also ordered Tokyo Garden roll- ($20) Eel, tuna, avocado, spicy krab, shrimp, scallop, bonito, & eel sauce. Servers are always friendly and the teppanyaki chefs are entertaining!! On the way out stop by the front counter to get a handful of fish food for the hungry koi!! Kampai!!

Food is always on point. Fast and friendly service. Dimly lit quiet atmosphere. This is our go to and it's never disappointed. Price is average for what is out there.

Ordered Sukiyaki to suit the chilly weather, my hard working body, & empty stomach during my field service site visit to this part of town. Perfectly sizzling pot of cast iron goodness... Filled with wild mushrooms, hearty portion of vegetables, glass noodles, little bits and chunks of raw beef situated window side booth with sights of colorful gold fish swimming in zen inspired garden pond.Very nice and friendly staff. Wonderful settings for any occasion....highly recommend.Just for maintaining the garden... It deserves 1 extra star.

Nice atmosphere-- wonderful staff. For me-- not a great eating experience. With teppanyaki he would serve to his left-- nice servings until he got to the last two or three on the right-- about half a serving. He left for a few minutes-- came back to make a quick batch of rice-- and added more to ours-- but the quick batch was not the same-- very oily. Same thing with vegetables-- we got about half of what the other side did. That was sad-- very small amount of vegetables but tasted good. Then it was my fault I didn't mention my shrimp allergies-- so when he started cooking the chicken and shrimp with the same utensil-- in the same oil I didn't want to make a fuss--just asked him to give mine to the others in our group. They offered to make me a serving in the kitchen-- but it really was my fault-- so it was fine. Most of the group was happy with the meal ( I think) but portion sizes made my meal not worth the $25.
