Tokyo Bowl

The place looks clean from the outside but the inside is not! The pictures in the menu are deceiving! The bathroom was dirty, the floors and they had rice cookers stored in the bathroom. The service was not the best either, there was only one waiter the other lady was just there and didn't even acknowledge me when I was trying to pay until a few minutes later. The food was also not good my plate was full of rice and only had a few pieces of chicken. My son ordered plain noodles and they were flavorless and tasted expired not sure what they were!!!

Very good food, you wont leave hungry! I would recommend sharing the sukiyaki as its a big plate! Service was great even during their busy lunch hour! Bathroom is not all that easy to find nor is it the prettiest. Totally recommend

Stopped by Tokyo Bowl today for the first time to grab a late lunch to-go and am glad I did!Reading other reviews I was hesitant to try this place because of some negative comments regarding customer service. Today there were two employees at the register, both busy working on receipt stuff but I was greeted right away and asked if I was ordering or picking up. When one employee recognized I was indecisive she directed me to the menus with item descriptions which I appreciated!I ended up choosing the Sukiyaki chicken - a mix of white and dark meet cooked with onions, bell pepper, carrots, and zucchini topped with sesame seeds and a light teriyaki sauce over rice or noodles or a mix of both. The bowl + a soda was just under $13 which I think is reasonable considering this is tasty, restaurant quality food ready in a reasonable time PLUS I'll get at least 2 meals out of the portion. They have a call ahead option but I was able to order in person, leave to run some errands, and returned ~15 minutes later to my food being hot and ready!

Food was great awesome flavors. Staff at Tokyo Bowl were knowledgeable and friendly, I would recommend this Restaurant to all.

Worst experience ever. Never going back . I ordered food to pick up and asked for eel sauce when I ordered. I go to pick it up and there's no eel sauce so I go back after driving home and a very rude server wouldn't sell me eel sauce even though I asked for it over the phone. Her reason was because they close in 5 MINUTES and she had already started counting the money. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. How is this a business?

Came back to porterville to visit family. First thing we ate was Tokyo Bowl, missed the food so much.

Food: Beef & Chicken Sukiyaki with noodles Service: Fast and friendly, but not so informativeSo I'd like to start out with sayings dish was great and flavorful! The beef and chicken were cooked nicely, the veggies were not over cooked and still had a nice soft crunch (which i enjoy), the noodles cooked to perfection. The staff was great upon arrival and upon check out. The part that was a major disappointment for me was the following: When I placed my order- sukiyaki chickenI added beef. I've done this severallll times before. The waitress did say, "it'll be an extra charge. Is that okay?" I replied, "yes." However BIG HEADS UP!!!! The price to add meat was $8.99!!! It's always been a couple bucks. So, my $10 dish ended up being over $20 with tax. Please please get it together Tokyo Bowl!

The food is amazing! The chicken sukayaki is my favorite I comes with plenty of chicken and the plates are a very good size. I love that you can get the all-white meat option on their entrees. I've never had bad service, and the food always taste great. I also love their California rolls and my kiddos love their teriyaki chicken. They eat all of it every time we order.

Very disappointed with the amount of meat in my order. Purchased two chicken sukiyaki over rice and I received 2 vegetable sukiyaki with a few pieces of chicken. They been very skimpy with the meat even though their prices are up between 2 and 6 dollars on the menu items. I paid 32 dollars for my meal and it was not worth it. Next time ill go to panda express and get a family meal for 35 dollars.

The food was amazing and tasted very fresh the service is just right and the vibe of the whole place feels calm and enjoyable.
