Tina Marie's

We like Tina Marie's. The staff is super friendly and seem genuinely happy to work there. We were seated right away. It was a Sunday around noon. We ordered chicken & waffles; Spanish omelette and chorizo/egg scramble. I also had hashbrowns and a biscuit with gravy. The Spanish omelette has tri-tip and a lot of veggies. The meat was tasty but a little chewy. I did like that I got some avocado and sour cream. I asked for salsa and that was a great add. My hash browns came out pretty dark but they didn't taste burnt. The staff was running around doing a lot. I think some things got left cooking too long. My biscuit was great and definitely home made. The gravy was good. The iced tea was perfect!!TM's is a great place to meet friends for breakfast or lunch. Their portions are large enough to share. They are open daily from 7-2.

My husband had been wanting to try this restaurant out for some time now, so the other day, we were downtown and had some extra time on our hand, plus it we were hungry. We happened to pass by Tina Marie's and thought let's go give them a try, that became a decision we regretted. We walked in, and we thought the ambiance was cute in its pink and black decor. It took a few minutes for anyone to notice that we were waiting to be seated, and I must say our welcoming wasn't very warming. Our waitress came over with our menus, again not a warm greeting even after my husband told her this was our first visit to their restaurant she just asked for our drink order. We looked over the menu and quickly noticed all the food items were all priced between $15.00 - $21.00 Honestly, we weren't impressed with the menu selection. The food choices for us we felt were ordinary and items that could be made at home, nothing extraordinary popped out that said "try me."We ordered our meal from the Lukewarmwaitress. I settled on the French dip, and my husband ordered the club sandwich. Our order did arrive promptly, but the plating lacked luster. We all eat with our eyes first, and this plating left our eyes hungrier. The plate presentation was dull and unimpressive. All we got on our plate was our main dish and the side. My French dip was bland and the meat seemed like it was just slapped on the bread, It kept falling out every time I went to dip it in the aju sauce and I had to rearrange the meat slices. For me, the French fries were the best thing on the plate. My husband's club sandwich looked fresh but he said the best part of the sandwich was the mayonnaise. He thought the bread was too thick and took away from the meat ratio. Overall, I would not eat here again.Our service lacked the luster this place offered. The waitresses chatted more with one of the walk-in customers who was there picking up a to-go order instead of the customers who were seated inside. We got the feeling they were more interested in wipping down the counters than they were customers.

Solid local brunch favorite , not many veggie options but I found a decent omelette. Full meal w potatoes and bread options. Dining room full of 4 seater booths , waitstaff is very friendly.Wait times seem reasonable when I visited.

This is a cute, kitschy diner in downtown Bakersfield. There is on street parking and a parking garage 1 block down. I will have to get pictures of the food next time. I was hungry and forgot to take pictures beforehand. I had the California omelet with hashbrowns and a side of bacon. The omelet has 4 eggs so bring your appetite or share. I had ice tea to drink and those come in large Mason jars. The service was good. I came around noon and only waited a few minutes. My waitress was very nice and attentive.

Came here again against my better judgement. Our first trip the food was good and service was horrendous. Well this is our second and LAST visit. Tina if you read your reviews your staff is in need of major training or overhauling. We walked in place was decorated so nice for Christmas, I was glad we came but that is where the good feelings end. We stood near the check in register for about 15 minutes while employees came up and repeatedly ignored the fact we were standing there waiting to check in. No one else in the lobby so it confused us even more. The waitresses are like ninjas how they avoid any kind of eye contact. Finally we just had to bother them and ask if we could check in. WOW you'd think we asked to borrow money or something. I feel like satan himself couldn't have been any ruder!! Very disrespectful. We asked how long the girl looked at the half full dinner and mumbled out it'll be a while!?!? We had enough and left for good! While outside talking about where to go we over heard another party leaving upset about the service they received as well!! Tina as a business owner I hate to see this, I hope you have continued success but your staff needs serious attention!!! Thank you and sorry!!

I've been hear twice now and it never fails at making me happy :) they have an uplifting energy and yummy menu. I like their daily specials they offer but their chilaquiles are my go to! No e unfortunately! Lots of families and such a big place. A very nice spot to catch up with friends or spend time with loved ones.

This is another place that I've been told about for years, but have never gone. My mother and sister in law met us here for brunch recently and when I entered I was immediately happy. Their Xmas decorations are gorgeous! I imagine they change out the decor seasonally but this makes me want to come back and see what they've got. There's parking right next to the restaurant and a parking garage which you also get 2 free hours if you eat at Tina Marie's. The restaurant is centrally located in downtown next to all kinds of cute shops and boutiques for that walk you're gonna definitely need after getting full!We had the best waitress. She made me feel like she was one of my friends. She helped me with a couple menu questions, was very friendly, and kept our table happy. My group of 7 throughly enjoyed our breakfast items. I will definitely come back to try the lunch.

Friends had taking me to this corner diner,and I fell in love with its charm, and homstyle homestyle. The Hostess and Waitresses were charming, and the food was very good and plentiful. I enjoyed it so much,I took another friend to treat her to the experience. Just a lovely place to visit and share a good meal.

I forgot how big the small chicken fried streak was.. I had 2 meals out of it. Food was good, coffee was great. Biscuit and gravy was good also.

Food was so delicious. It's big portions serving. I truly recommend for breakfast/ brunch
