The atmosphere, food, and service were all top notch when we dined here tonight. I had the pork belly carbonara, which was a bit different because it had a bit of a citrusy flavor and wasn't smoky since it wasn't made with bacon. It was delicious. My wife's ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and came with a very spicy garlic and chili flake pasta. We were served very quickly even though it was a busy Friday night, and they tended to our every need. The cherry on top was the live pianist they had playing jazz in the corner of the restaurant near the bar.We're definitely coming back

There is a lot of potential here but it was several little things that kept it from getting 5 stars....We enjoyed the ambiance and the theme of the restaurant but did feel the acoustics were a bit off. A couple of tables away we could vividly hear a family's political discussions and the other way around kid had his iPad blaring while the parents did nothing. The cocktail menu is fun and varied but if you are going to call it a 007 martini it either needs to be a Vesper or a Vodka martini and it was neither plus it was poorly strained and had tons of ice chips. The food was good but once again the little things. Loved the sauce on the Wellington bites but the meat was overcooked inside. The sourdough crust on the flatbread was perfect (chewy and flavorful) but the toppings were undercooked, the mozzarella came off on first bite. It was odd that when we were served bread we got 3 pieces (there were two of us) why not go 2 or 4 so we do not have to fight over a second piece? Personal pet peeve on this one but please factor in credit card fees into the menu and not 'punish' it on the bill or instead offer it as a cash discount.

I haven meant to try this place since they opened. Glad I did. This place is fun and pretty. The bar, the ceiling, lot of interesting details.The waiter was well dressed, polished, and very professional.And the food! I had the pork belly carbonara, creamy, salty, delicious. My friends loved their gnocchi, chicken sandwich, and salad. We all agreed we need to come back an try more dishes!

That one time I was transported back to the days of Al Capone and Charles Luciano.The Vault reminds me of one of those restaurants people would go to for a "business meeting". It's classy. The food is *chef's kiss*. The service is working out it's kinks (because they literally just opened, cut them some slack) but you can tell as soon as they hit their stride, this place will be a number one spot here in Bakersfield. Our waitress was Jolina and she was such a gem. Our bartender was Laura who took care of us like we were family.If we come here a couple more times, they'll know us by name and then I'll *really* feel like a proper gangster.

Went in for dinner last night since we hadn't been there. It's a nice place, very clean and we were greeted upon arrival. We were seated promptly and given menus. It's a nice atmosphere. The booth we were seated at was comfy and they brought water to the table in an elegant decanter. They took our drink order and we reviewed the menu. There are a good selection of items from pizza to sandwiches and pastas, and other things. The place is great and service very good. Prices vary depending on food choice but it's decent. I ordered pesto pasta and a dinner salad with italian, my husband ordered lasagna and a dinner salad with ranch dressing. We enjoyed the dinner salad and the items we ordered. So if you've never been it would be a nice place to try, Im sure you'll enjoy it

Despite FB indicating there are vegan choices available - there are not. The ONE vegan entree is spaghetti with tomato sauce. It was bland. However, the tomato basil soup was good. The potatoes with the entrees of my companion's were served cold. The pasta served with my companion's shrimp was also bland. The waitstaff was busy yet attentive. The most unfortunate part was the table side manner of the owner. He appeared irritated and his demeanor was unprofessional. The decor was nice and the seating was comfortable.AND there is a surcharge for using card, which was discovered when reading the receipt.

The ambiance in The Vault is quirky and fun. From the gangster files (menus) to the A.T.M. (A terrific martini) the Vault delivers a bang for your buck. TBH I loved the waiter staff in their suspenders and bow ties, they were all welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. To start we ordered a Combination Cosmopolitan. It came in a dainty coupe with an expertly twisted orange peel. The cocktail was well made and throughly enjoyed. Arriving shortly after the drinks were the Beef Wellington Bites. They were delicious despite the lack of duxelles. A perfect appetizer. Next up was the Black & Blue Steak salad; a 6oz grilled Vault steak atop a bed of spring mix, accompanied by a beautifully sliced avocado, tomatoes, red onions, and blue cheese. A nice salad the steak was served a little over done, we did order medium rare. It was nice, I would order it again. Not over dressed like so many salads are; I really appreciated the effort in balancing the ingredients. Now onto the main, well another shareable! But I am getting stuffed! Penny's Pear-fection Flatbread is on its way to the table and my mouth is watering thinking about it. I better order some Overdraft Protection (sparkling wine & pear brandy) to help me wash this one down! I think they'll make the perfect pair! Well I will be ordering a desert although I haven't made up my mind which one. I think I'm leaning toward the tiramisu but my partner is hinting at the butterfinger pie. We shall see. I would recommend giving these guys a try.The Wednesday Night Dinner Club will definitely be returning to The Vault!

Josiah was an amazing server. Very attentive and caring about his customers. The food was amazing. Steak was cooked perfectly. Appetizers were just as good. Live music was great and song choices were great as well. 10/10

I have visited The Vault four times. Everything has been excellent. We've had the Sachhetti Pasta, Pastrami Sandwich, Vault burger, Clam Chowder bowl, Spring Chicken Salad and a couple of appetizers. The apps were the Bruschetta and the Garlic Cheese. The servers are very attentive. Lastly, the bread is fantastic! This place is officially in the rotation.
