I have been in a few times for repair work on necklaces and the women there are very patient and kind. They often have good suggestions after asking probing questions to get a feel for what you want. This business has been here for ages and maintains a solid reputation locally.

Being a visitor to the area, I was Yelping places to visit and The Spirited Bead shop appeared. I was instantly drawn to the store. Upon arriving we were greeted and offered help. We looked around quite a bit then ended up speaking with Klew in great detail about her beads as well as her doTerra business. Klew was extremely helpful and sweet. She makes amazing quality beads! The store itself has an extensive supply of fine beads and stones.I will be sure to visit the store again when I come back to Tehachapi.

I'm a slight step above the novice broader but regardless if your a noob or an expert, this little gem (I punned!) of a place is perfect. Lots of findings, chain, and good-god-almighty the beads!!!! Glass, ceramic, semiprecious, bone, poly clay... anything you want they'll have it. It also doesn't help the decor is adorable and Klews stores her beads in old printing press drawers. To top it off, the service is excellent and everything in the store is nickel and lead free. The prices are a teensy bit on the high side but I don't mind that - it's a specialty bead shop owned and operated by a local businesswoman - that's something I can afford to support!

I love this place. There are so many bead making supplies added with a personal touch. Karen Lewis took her time to explain the different store areas, took note of my interests and guided me on finding what I was looking for. She even showed me how to properly attach a lobster claw and use crimping bead covers. Unparellel customer interaction. I am definately going to be a repeat customer.

What a quaint little Shop. I met the owner right away which is always a wonderful thing! She was very helpful!I could have spent hours in there... but I had the man with me so I will just go back another time. HeheNow I'm not a beader, I'm a buyer of pretty things. And there were many pretty made things. If you are a beader you MUST stop here! I found some wonderful treasures! I can't wait to share the one I bought for a fantastic person I love!

This is one of my favorite stores in town!! I love coming here. Everyone is friendly and helpful and they remember their customers. I usually have my son with me, but on the occasions that I don't they never fail to ask how he is. I love the assortment of jewelry making supplies. It's a wonderful environment with a wonderful owner.

Okay. You walk in and die. You wake up in bead heaven. You could spend all day going through all of the drawers looking for little treasures. Huge variety. Ton of unique bone beads. Prices are reasonable and the owner is a gem.

What a fantastic find! Heard about Spirited Bead by the billboard on the freeway, and thought I would check it out while passing through town. Tucked away in an industrial area, Spirited Bead has an excellent selection of beads and findings. Great selection of gemstone beads, and an amazing collection of hand crafted work by proprietor Klew. Klew and her husband run the shop, and do a great job in showing you around and introducing you to a variety of different potential projects. I was really impressed with their operation, and was just delighted to find this treasure in Tehachapi. Thank you, Klew!!

I found this place when they were still in Ridgecrest. 100% better service than the place in Bako. They made exactly what I wanted, and guaranteed it. Now, years later, I Googled them and found they moved to Tehachapi. I'll be heading back toward the end of July and hope they remember me!

This is a darling little shop for jewelers, art&crafts-ers, and those just wanting to find something to do in Tehachapi.Located near the home depot, this store has a modest exterior, but a truly charming interior- full of display cases and cabinets of bead after bead after bead. Beads of all shapes, sizes, and materials can be found here- as well as finished jewelry and other fun things (zipper pulls, ornaments, etc.) The staff is super helpful in assisting the most novice of jewelers (me!) in putting something together. Ask for Ali, she's great!Anyways, this is a lovely place to come kill and hour or two. The spirited bead is a lot of fun- I also love it for gits. I made a pair of earrings for my mom last year- she loves them!
