The Old Hacienda

First time coming to Ild Hacienda Restaurant in Delano. We got here early so we sat down right away. They give you salsa and chips while you wait for your food. Salsa was very good- needed a slight kick. Our waitress, was very sweet and welcoming right away. We placed our order and in less than 15 minutes our food was out! I ordered Chilaquiles in Green sauce with eggs over medium and black coffee.My eggs could have been a bit more medium. As I like a slightly soft yoke.Husband ordered Chilaquiles in red sauce with Ranchera steak. I personally liked the green Chilaquiles as they had a nice added kick to them. His meat was tender and well seasoned and cooked just right! Both plates came with a side of refried beans, Spanish rice and queso fresco! We definitely will be back! Restaurant is nice and spacious. I think it needs more decor on the walls so it doesn't look and feel too sterile. Come and have your breakfast here!

Elizabeth said it best. Overpriced and tasteless. I ordered the grilled chicken chimichanga and it was just bland. The chicken inside had no seasoning whatsoever. My wife liked her fajitas, i tried them and wasn't impressed. Their salsa is top notch that is served with chips. I loved their salsa! But I came here to eat a meal not munch on chips

Went for dinner last night, and all 3 members of our party got food poisoning. The beef tasted nothing like beef. None of us could eat more than a few bites before we got nauseated. One of us was throwing up before we made it to the car. They need a lesson on food handling a d sanitation. Wost Mexican food experience.

I'll give it 2.5 stars!! I don't know if they weren't ready for the lunch rush or what! But my wife n I went there for her lunch break hoping to try it out and see if this will be a new lunch spot for us... Welp.... doesn't look like it will be. Unless major changes happen with the service! Food was decent that's why that got 2.5 stars that's how bad the service was. Took 10 min just to get chips and salsa brought to us. Not to mention getting anything to drink! We had to flag the servers down for everything. Drink order food order and refills and trying to pay the bill! And let's not get started on the food! Fajitas with no sides guacamole sour cream pico tortillas. That's all extra hmm...

Had dinner tonight. It wasn't as good as it has been. Not sure if it was just a bad night. I ordered the taco salad. Lettuce was wilted, and the meat was fatty. May go back and try again to see if it was a fluke.

We had the pleasure of dining in during COVID! We were quickly greeted and sat down. The waitress was very attentive through out our visit. All the proper guidelines were followed. We ordered carne asada nachos and a fried burrito. Food was AMAZING! Fresh and full of flavor. My husband absolutely loved his Pepper Mango Drink.

Our company rented the restaurant for the day and we held celebrations for two very large groups of people. We filled it twice with 2 shifts. I was surprised at how good the food and service was being as they were hit with 50 or more people at a time! They kept the chips, salsa (it's yummy) and the drinks flowing.The buffet was set up with chicken, beef, or cheese enchiladas and steak fajitas that were very good (my favorite) the rice and beans were solid. This is good old school Mexican food, I really like the place. Better than some of the fancy pants places that I've been to around town with all the stars. I'm going back, soon, I'm looking forward to trying a plate of their Nachos.

This review is for a take out meal. My husband and I drive by this place daily and have always wanted to check it out since from the outside it looks like a very traditional style Mexican restaurant. We are avid Mexican food lovers and eat it probably WAY more than we should. We have tried many different places in Bakersfield and have still not come across a good "go to" place that we absolutely love. Well unfortunately this is another miss when it comes to finding a good Mexican spot. The food was very plain, bland, and just boring. For living in California let alone a city with a large population of Hispanic people I was really hoping this was gonna be the spot. Well we were wrong. Small portions, bland food, almost looked like cafeteria style "wannabe mexican food". Also my husband just wanted a regular carne asada burrito NOT WET which was specified over phone like 5 times and it came wet and tasteless. I ordered enchilades combo with rice and beans and it was just nothing good to say about it. My search continues and we will not be going to this place again.

Food was delicious everything had good flavor and loved that they have hand made tortillas

Very good portions. Good food and the place is very nice inside. Our waiter was very friendly. The homemade tortillas were delicious. I would come back again.
