New place for us... attached to a Denny's. The draw for hubby was the possibility of some decent whiskey. A friendly bartender came to our table right away to greet us. Even the manager came up and introduced herself and we had a nice chat.Smaller space than most bars but that is fine as for now, this place does not seem to get very busy. Even though happy hour runs late!The prices for drinks were more than affordable but nothing fancy. Your moscow mule for example will come just in a regular glass (darn thieves!) and not the slick, proper, copper mug that will keep your drink colder for longer. Again, think Denny's. Also tried a simple vodka drink and a margarita. They were fine.We went on a Fri night I think at 9pm when surprisingly, karaoke started. THIS was interesting. I was excited as it was listed as 80's night but as the night went on, 'anything goes' was the rule. It was fun but the same people went up over and over again trying to get their big break! They were having fun with it - we just decided to leave when the foul, crappy hip hop came on. The mood had shifted.There are booths, high tops and you can eat from the regular Denny's menu. We did not eat but what was recommended to us by staff were the burgers and skillets for next time.To sum up - this is a very casual spot to bring some friends and have drinks on the cheap with friendly service. And a diner menu if you are hungry that serves late into the night.

Kinda of a hidden quaint little place. Could be a good hideout - Just saying. They have a great selection of whiskeys that vary in all price ranges. Found that their "old fashions" are crafted and made old school and proper.You get Denny's full menu at the bar which is a plus.I did find that they do not open until 5 p.m. which count day drinkers out.

It's not very busy but I for a quick feast and a few blue moons it's great. I ordered the sampler and my gal ordered the bourbon burger which she devoured. Normally she takes half home for lunch at work. I also enjoyed my quesadilla, chicken strips and onion rings. It was Blue Moon Monday's for $2:50 so I was sucking the Suds down and watching my Monday after work gently leave me. I was told Saturday the 22nd of April their gonna have Kareoke so it might be a good time to check this place out and belt out a few tunes for good measure. I wish I could be there but I'm going out of town that weekend. I hope it will be a weekly thing cause I like me some Karaoke. Overall pleasant experience. Will make this a weekly return. Bartender very attentive.

This was my first and last visit here. My friend & I are both whiskey drinkers, so we thought we'd try out a new spot for us. Customer service wasn't great at all. It's way too light for a bar... especially a so-called Whiskey Bar, and when my friend & I asked to see a drink menu, the bartender said "Oh we don't have those made 'yet'. So I asked, "oh how long have you guys been here?" She responds... "About 3 years " AND YOU DON'T HAVE A DRINK MENU 'YET'?? Ok!!!??? So we asked her recommendation on a whiskey... she seemed as though we were putting her out. Not friendly AT ALL. It wasn't busy either, mind you. We ordered 1 shot of whiskey, asked for our tab & left. Never returning again. Hopefully management can fix the customer service.

Great atmosphere, great craft cocktails , bartenders are awesome! This is a great place to just relax, and get away

I have been going to this bar for over 2 years almost every weekend. The bartender Krystal is just amazing. She is energetic, connects with the customers she serves, and is an all around amazing bartender. The drinks she makes is better than most bartenders in town. She also comes up with new drinks to keep the bar up to date with the latest and greatest drinks. She makes sure that my drinks are filled and flowing. I've also had the honor if meeting the new night manager Amanda and she is amazing. She talks to the customers and makes sure the bar is running as it should. This place is the perfect spot if your looking to unwind from a long week. Theres no drama, no fights and you dont have to worry about issues here. Just a all around amazing bar.

If you are looking for craft cocktails and quality brews on draft - this is not your spot. My recommendations are Eureka! and, pretty much Eureka. I don't like store bought mixes, I prefer knowledgeable bartenders who not only know the proper, classic way to mix a real cocktail (hint, you don't use sweet and sour mix in a Whiskey Sour, and if there aren't egg whites involved, you're not getting the real deal) but can give you the history of that cocktail and know the distinct difference between a rye, sour mash, and what makes each gin different. But hey, if you are looking for the typical frozen, heated, left under a heat lamp appetizers and food that Denny's is known for with the added bonus of booze so you can get your buzz on and not have to travel for your 2am pancakes - then be my guest. Look, it's just Denny's with booze. Period. The atmosphere is just Denny's with booze. There is nothing special here.

So hard to find a great old fashioned in Bakersfield, Chris the bartender did a great job creating a masterpiece that tasted just like the ones i make at home! 100% recommend a drink or 3 here!

Is this place open i tried to go on a sunday afternoon about 4pm to watch a game but they where closed which its prime money time for a small bar or restaurant. Tried to go after work another day about 530 thinking they would be open but they where closed till 6pm when the bartender came in. So i guess they need to post hours on the outside so patrons know when they are open or of there open.
