I recently attended a birthday party at The Oaks Country Club during a heatwave, and sadly, their AC wasn't working. It made for a very uncomfortable experience. The buffet-style food was just okay, nothing special. The service was also just okay.Overall, it was a disappointing experience due to the lack of air conditioning. The food and service were average, so there wasn't much to compensate for the heat. I hope they get their AC fixed soon because it's a shame for such a nice venue to be let down by something so basic.

I met a couple of friends here who are members for a few happy hour drinks on a Friday afternoon. I hadn't been here in a while since they changed it over to The Oaks. It's a new modern look from the classic style it used to be. But I like it.The service is top of the line, as you would expect from a club. All of the staff are friendly, eager to please and helpful. They had great happy hour smoked old fashioneds for $8! Unheard of. The video I attached was the presentation. The bartender, Michael, was super cool. He knew all the members by name and remembered their regular drinks and preferences. He was busy because he was alone but seemed to give everyone ample attention and met their needs. Carissa came through on another errand but stopped what she was doing to say hello and she helped my friend out with some questions he had about their wine room that he wanted to reserve for a private event. Staff seems to go out of their way to cater to the members. Food was good too. Very cool, exclusive spot. I'm sure I'll be back as a guest again soon.

I Attended an important charity event recently here and found the staff was great. However, the rest was not. Unrealistic unposted bar prices that are not the same as their menu prices, inflated non-disclosed service charges, and a total lack of managerial availability communication and dismissiveness became insulting. Not a fan of this disconnected venue AT ALL. Thanks but no thanks.

My experience at the Oaks Club at Valencia was overall very good. The reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of management around the course. People were able to just hop onto the first tee without checking in, skipping us, but it was nothing that made my experience too bad. The two young men in the cart barn Eric and Donovan were very helpful and quick to help me and my friends with our clubs, carts, etc. This was my first time coming here because of how far I live, but the course was new and I can see myself coming back soon.

Went to my husbands work event for a holiday party and award dinner. Everything ran smoothly. The drink line was a bit long but that probably could have been handled with an extra bartender. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. It was a clean venue. Very chill. No valet but all in all it was an amazing night. I don't go to country clubs very often so I can only compare it to my east Bay Area home country club which I haven't frequented very much since I moved to Southern California. Maybe we will be back for their next event. All the servers were professional and helpful upon request. Bathroom was spacious and clean.

Save your money! There are so many other options for events that will actually give you and your guests the experience you're paying a lot of money for. We went to a wedding and the staff, aside from the bartenders, were rude and simply stood around directing traffic. The golf cart that was supposed to be there for ADA assistance actually forgot to pick up a couple in our party! Lastly, but there's so much more, the food was INEDIBLE! I typically don't use sauce for steak and seafood because the preparation should speak for itself. Well, the dried bits of steak and salmon were in desperate need of something, so the A1 and beurre blanc (lemon butter) helped. Sad when the star of your meal are the vegetables. Maybe Sand Canyon Country Club knows how to host an event.

I recently did an event with Katelyn Bohmer and the service she provided was fantastic. The event went off without a hitch! She is a true leader and so organized. We never wondered if something was going to get done because her communication was top notch. The venue was lovely but Katelyn made it even better.

My husband & I took our extended family to The Oaks restaurant last night. We are members and needed to work on the annual $1K minimum food spending requirement (drinks don't count).Pls note that the new food requirement is in addition to multiple other recent price hikes in the membership. Also noteworthy is the included 20% mandatory tip while a couple employees have mentioned only receiving a portion of the tip as the "house" possibly keeps a portion. We have heard this from a couple ppl but are unsure if this is fact.Our party of 9 had a shockingly abysmal experience from beginning to end. We had made reservations more than a week in advance. The facility seemed to also be hosting a large private event in the banquet room next to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the management didn't properly staff nearly enough employees to handle said event as well as the restaurant patrons. It appeared that there was only one server allocated to the entire restaurant & patio and she was constantly being pulled into the event room to help. This left the restaurant patrons literally waiting for hours for service. This was in no way the fault of our very apologetic & sweet server. She was constantly running from one table to another and I highly doubt that she ever had a chance to take her breaks the whole evening. At one point, we witnessed employees breaking down crying. During this time, we watched the manager walking around while not once pitching in to help alleviate some of the lag time customers were experiencing. We couldn't understand why we wasn't bringing drinks, bussing tables or helping by delivering some food orders during all of this.Once our food was finally delivered the disappointment continued. Some items were woefully overcooked, tough and almost inedible. Other members of our party stated that every single item was just "meh". My husband's meal was delivered maybe 10 minutes after the rest of the items. At this point, we had probably been there for 3 1/2 or 4 hours. Our server was very apologetic and checked in consistently despite being very overwhelmed. Again, we were shocked that the management continued just walking around without ever pitching in or doing anything to support his staff.In the past, we have had a few smaller meals here because of the mandatory food minimum. It's never been stellar but it was passable. Unfortunately, last night's experience has us strongly considering canceling our membership. The management's attitude, refusal to help his staff and poor planning was really the icing on the cake.I hope this review helps people considering a membership to have realistic expectations.
