The Mother Lode

Had some great antiques to look at. Bit of history throughout. Lots of unique and fun items! Stones, hippy items, some music, posters, clothing and art pieces from local artists. Nice stop! Come on in!

Great selection of cool t shirts, toys, collectibles, souvenirs, and vintage stuff. The prices were affordable and some of the toys my kids wanted were just a donation to the children's museum in town.

This place is so cute. My mother, daughter and I took a look here. This place really is a mother lode of stuff. Even though we did not purchase anything it was still interesting to walk through the store. Lots of old nick-nacks and things.

Be careful what you buy here. If appears to be ok, and turns out it's not, you are stuck with it. They wont work with you at all. I realize it's an antique store, but I didnt buy an antique. My item appeared to be in new condition and it was presented to me as in working order. It's not, and now I am stuck with a wall hanger.The guitar was presented to me by the girl.as in good working order. If it will not hold the tuning for more than 1 song, it is NOT in good working order. I purchased the guitar, and it was in my truck for about 20 minutes before it was inside a warm house. I did not store it in my truck all night. It was like that before I bought it. And the problem with tuning is not something I could have visually seen before purchase. It's a wall hanger.

This is a great store! So much to look at and so many treasures to find. If you visit Kernville, it's a must to visit!

This is a great antique shop in Kernville.While on a recent trip to Lake Isabella, we got a tip that Kernville was hosting some Memorial day activities. We decided to check out Kernville and happened upon this place. A cool selection of antiques and interesting items. I was lucky enough to pick up a vintage cast iron pan with smooth as glass interior. The 3 ladies behind the counter were very kind and helpful. They also recommended we check out the local brewery, which unbeknownst to us was Kern River Brewing! The Mother Lode is a must if you are in the area of Kernville.

I love this store. They have amazing items, and the prices aren't bad. And they are the sweetest!
