The Lemon Food Truck

It's tradition at this point for me and my friends to stop by the lemon food truck to and from mammoth lakes. One of if not the best mexican food truck i have ever had. 10/10 Eat Here!

The food here was phenomenal! It was me, and my girlfriend's family who went here. We were on our way to Mammoth lakes and I found this place to stop for lunch. This place is the type of place that 95% of people would just drive by and not consider. This, in my opinion, makes the experience even better. This is a place that the locals go to, hands down. We were sitting, eating our lunch and these two locals were just talking and talking. They knew each other too, it was so cool. Then another set of locals were there and we had them take a picture of us all. The person who took our photo asked us where we're from and my girlfriend and her family is from Holland. So the lady asks "how did you guys from Holland end up here in Independence". That says a lot about Independence, CA. So that was really special too. The vibes/ambiance were really nice and cozy too. The food it and that expensive which is great. I HIGHLY recommend this food truck if you like Mexican food! ,

Family liked the shrimp tacos best. Also thought the pastor tacos were tasty. Will try the asada and carnitas tacos next time.

I got limes with my burrito from The Lemon Food Truck, so I don't know where the lemons come into play. But the limes didn't sour me on this place. The food was good, and they didn't put the squeeze on me for cash.My carne asada burrito was a decent deal. It came stuffed full of fresh ingredients. All the usual insides, but fresh and flavorable as can be. It was quite hefty, too. Even I, the bottomless pit, had a hard time finishing it. There's shaded seating at this stationary restaurant on wheels. Which was sorely needed, as the mercury reached heights comparable to the onlooking Sierras. Don't worry, they serve all kinds of cold beverages, foreign and domestic. Quick Tip: Add an ice cold Jarritos to your order. The Lemon Truck doesn't serve lemon flavor, but they do have lime! Pina is better, though.

Just hit up this cute little place on the way to Reno! Their Mexican food is awesome, my husband had the Cowboy Plate and I had the burrito bowl. Beautiful view of the snow capped mountains as we ate. We were so hungry we forgot to take a photo. They are very generous with their portions and it was so delicious. They even had a fire pit outside to warm our hands!

Really good little food truck. Had two burritos, carnitas taco and chicken quesadilla for the kids. Bean and cheese burrito was excellent. Carne asada burrito really good. Quesadilla and taco were also on point. Fresh ingredients and condiments. Service with a smile.Highly recommend this place !

A must stop on the way to the sierras. Food is awesome and they have a cool little seating area with a great view of Mt. Whitney.

Food was amazing. Coming back to Socal from Mammoth and happened to find this spot. Hidden gem. Vibe is super cool. Service was excellent. Didn't take long at all. Will forsure be stopping back here.

This place is such a find! Amazing home cookedfood. Cute place and really friendly people. Best option for food in Independence for sure!!!
