What a serendipitous find on Christmas Day! We took an exit hoping to find a gas station and some snacks, and ended up finding a food truck that serves piping hot Indian meals. Service was quick, and the ambience was what you'd expect at a gas station. There are enough tables to eat at which are fairly clean. We got the samosa chaat and aloo paratha. The paratha came with lots of butter, dahi and achaar. Yes! While I appreciate how lucky we were with eating a warm delicious meal, I was surprised to note that the aloo paratha was spicy! Not something I expected. The samosa chaat was good. See pictures for how big the portions are! The chai was sweet, with cardamom. perfect for a winter morning. I'll definitely stop by on the drive back and maybe try something different.

Very pleased to discover this Indian food truck as we were stopping for gas and hoping to grab a quick meal. They were very nice, lots of variety, and food was delicious. We had samosa chaat, paneer pakora, aloo paratha, and lamb biryani. Good was good, but best thing was definitely the mango lassi! It was so delicious, especially with the pleasant addition of cardamom

Amazing spot! The chai really hit the spot and the pakoras were very delicious. It was a nice place to stretch and road trip meeting point. Very cool food truck concept.

This Indian restaurant is a definite stop on highway 5 ...A pit stop and gas fill up on the way down to Indio : and we found this food truck behind am/pm alongside a Mexican food truck : what an amazingly genuine Indian food!! The street food components: samosas, pakodas, and chaat were delectable We also had the parathas: aaloo (potato) and methi (fenugreek) and both were delish! We had the Indian style masala tea and coffee : which were piping hot! Finally for dessert, we tried the gulab Jamun and the gajar halwa and loved them bothThere's ample seating and clean too! Quite a dhaba (street food) we found !!The best part? Friendly service! Say hi to swati when you're there.. and she'll provide you with great food and service
