Here is a 2022 experience with The Composites Store that is similar to another reviewer's in 2018. My small order of $28 somehow got a $41 shipping charge (initially indicated as $15). Had they asked me about a $26 increase in shipping, I'd have cancelled the order. The company is not clear exactly what shipping charges will be. (My small order was split into two mailings, each Priority Mail 2, but I gave no indication of any hurry.) My guess is they cater mostly to industrial customers who order more and want it fast.

I recently needed some composite materials but wasn't exactly sure of what I needed so I called the store and the lady that answered was very pleasant and helpful, I will always turn to this business for all my composite needs!

I placed an order and nothing was charged or shipped. Not sure if this is a real business.

I will never buy anything from this company again. They did not tell me what they were charging me for shipping until after they sent my order. They charged me $60.78 to ship my order FedEx from Tehachapi, CA to Modesto, CA! I ordered the exact same product plus a few more items from Jamestown Distributors in Warwick, RI and they only charged me $32.57 for shipping. I went with CST because they were local, even though they cost $29.96 more than Jamestown Distributors for the same product. I wanted to support a local company and assumed that there shipping would be a little less than JD which would offset some of the extra cost. I do blame myself for not researching their shipping cost beforehand. Just to top it off though, when I called to see if they would be willing to make an adjustment to what they charged me in shipping, the person said that they technically should have charged me an extra $5. She encouraged me to make my purchases through Jamestown Distributors in the future, I will definitely take that advice!
