I just wanted to leave the best review for the cabins at the Buckeye Tree Lodge. We stayed here for a few nights, and I'm so happy I booked here. Our Aspen cabin accommodated 3 guests. It was perfect and cozy and had a coffee & tea station with fresh coffee beans. I'm so happy I was able to book a place for us to sleep while we explore Sequoia National Park and forest. Some more pros: -Directly across from a nice restaurant. -Awesome small town vibe. -Easy check-in, with friendly front desk. -Clean, well kept, nice touches. -Beautiful big yellow tree outside our window (we visited in December 2023.-Kaweah River on property with tree swing, ducks, cattle/sheep views in the mountains in the morning. It was the best part of my trip. -Comfortable beds, clean sheets, fresh towels. -It had all the listed amenities. -Reasonable rates especially compared to everyone else in the area. -I recommend this place for family or romantic getaway. I would DEFINITELY book here again because I'm simply in love with the beautiful forest surroundings.

This review will be based on the Blossom Cabin. It was our first visit to the 3 Rivers area and we stayed at The Buckeye Cabins. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The cabin size is perfect for 2 people. The cabin has the basics needs - small kitchen area ( frig / microwave / coffee maker / utensils and a stove ) - only down side it doesn't have a closet and a dresser ( just leave your clothes in the suit case / duffle bag ). The cabin area also has a pool that is within walking distance - we had the pool to ourselves for 2 days. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall our stay was pleasant and relaxing.

Loved this place. We stayed in the Columbine and I have never stayed somewhere so quiet. After hiking at Sequoia all day it was definitely nice to crash somewhere with no one waking you up with their luggage or opening closing doors.

If you are coming to Three Rivers to visit Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks this is the place to stay! It is the first hotel outside the park- only 1/2 mile from the entrance. We stayed in room 8 and it was perfect with the river in the back and pool on the side. Perfect place to rest your head & relax after a day of exploring.

Perfect spot after a day of exploring the park. Comfortable and quiet. Very clean, with a tiny kitchen and a patio outside.

Friendly staff and easy check-in across the street. I stayed in the Hummingbird cabin. Overall, it was clean and well supplied. The bed was way to hard for me, but beds in hotels are always a gamble as to whether or not they're comfortable. The two things that did bother me was that I found multiple black hairs on the bed (I'm blonde) and the bed frame squeaked all the time. I couldn't roll over without hearing it. They definitely need to fix that. Overall, it was a nice stay and close to Sequoia.

Great location, cute, rustic cabin units. We timed it ... only one minute from the Sequoia Park main gate. Just stayed this past weekend. My cousin and I stayed in the 'Forest' two bedroom unit. Neighbors upstairs were a bit noisy but it was tolerable considering the circumstances. The Kaweah River is just across the street and our family spent lots of time there. Our family of 15 people actually rented 3 separate units and it was nice to have our own little 'village' while still having some privacy from each other.I really only have a couple suggestions for the place. First when we arrived the unit although very clean smelled so strongly of Pine-Sol we could hardly breath. We had to open the unit and air it out for a few hours. Maybe they can use something as good that does't have such a strong chemical odor.Secondly, the lighting in the units is extremely harsh. All the lights have been replaced with CFL and LED lights. I totally get that, save energy, but for me it really ruins the vibe of staying in a cabin in the mountains. It feels more like a warehouse or a doctors office than a warm, rustic cabin. I hope they change the lights out to something warmer and a much lower wattage. This may seem trivial but wait until you have a 100 watt LED flood light in your face while you relaxing in the living room.Anyway, great place, great service, clean, convenient, and fun and dogs were ok too. Will stay again, although I may bring some of my own bulbs! LOL!

The Sequoia Vilage Inn is the closest cluster of cabins before heading into Sequoia National Park's entrance in Three Rivers. Went in early October to escape the crowds and peak hotel rates of the summer season. We stayed in the Hummingbird Cabin which was well maintained and clean, though a bit rustic... The bed was a little lumpy, the air conditioning unit rattled to the point where I guess in the middle of night I subconsciously positioned a pillow on my face, and I spotted a couple stray cob webs. But else would you expect of a cabin? Upon entering check-in, which is done across the street at the Buckeye Tree Lodge, most likely same owners, we were greeted by the receptionist, Victoria who was very friendly, welcoming and helpful in answering our questions.I can understand previous reviewers who complained of the cabin's proximity to the pool and their concern with noise. I can say that during our one night stay it wasn't an issue for us.We had a great experience staying in, making smores in the microwave, watching the Discovery Channel and playing Scrabble the night before setting out on our Sequoia Park adventure. If it was going to be a two night stay I would have brought a book and sat out on the reclining chairs on the deck.Would stay here again!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my dog on our most recent road trip. We visited Sequoia National Park and I chose to stay here for several reasons. First was that they were dog friendly (for a fee - $20/night if I remembered correctly). Second, they were affordable; third they were close to the park; and forth I wanted a cabin. My dog and I stayed in the Columbine cabin. I was more than enough space for the both of us. It had a private patio deck that you had to use the front door entrance to access. Meaning, once inside the cabin, there was no private entrance to your deck. I had wanted to use the deck, but it was way too cold and I also could not figure out how to turn on the patio lights. We just went to take pictures on the patio one day. The deck was pretty large with a private grill, a table with chairs, and 2 large wooden beach type chairs. Inside, there was a queen bed, with a TV, 2 sitting chairs, a bar sitting area, dining table with 2 chairs, full equipped small kitchen with a 4 cooker stove, oven, toaster, coffee marker, microwave, and small fridge. In the kitchen, dishes, utensils, and cooking pots/pans are provided and need to be washed to avoid an extra charge. I mostly used my disposable items that I had already brought to use. The bathroom was a good size with a shower only and a huge walk-in closet (that I did not even use). I feel like a smaller closet would be plenty of room and would rather have that space expanded to the bathroom or main space. There is also a modern ac/heating unit in the cabin. My wifi worked effortlessly also and was a lifesaver as there is ZERO reception. There is also no phone in the room. However, it says that there is a phone outside closer to some of the other cabins that you can use. For personal safety, I felt it would had been better to have a phone in each cabin as there is no cell phone reception anywhere in this area. My cabin was $160/night which was very reasonable. They are located super close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park. The park was literally like a 2 minute drive from the cabins. They also own the lodge across the street, which is right on the river. However, I chose to stay in the cabins because I wanted my own kitchen. There is only one place to eat at across the street. While I was here, it was very quiet and peaceful. They cleaned my room well. There is also parking right by your cabins. Just know that the driveway up the cabin parking is only one lane and curves uphill, so be cautious when driving. Would I stay here again? Yes I would! I loved it! It felt very peaceful and I like having a cabin with a fully usable kitchen. I would like to stay in one of the other cabins to experience it also. I did not have any issues with my stay or the staff here.

We stayed in the Alta cabin for 5 nights. It is owned by a lovely couple who provided us with excellent information on hiking and eating around the area. Cabin was more than well equipped with everything you need to cook your meals including a toaster and microwave and coffee beans and grinder besides the brewer! We had two queen beds in one room and a sofa sleeper in the other. We cooked steak and burgers on the charcoal grill out on our patio and enjoyed views of the mountains and stream. Definitely worth the price and enjoyed our visit to the area.
