The Belle Rae

The Belle Rae is absolutely amazing. The grounds, home, and staff are 10/10 incredible. I've known Shannon for years and she carries herself and her business with unprecedented professionalism. She's incredibly talented and fiercely dedicated to providing the best service possible. Not to mention - she's so kind, humble, and a joy to be around! I love the Hough family for life :) My oldest friend just hosted her wedding reception here (prior to the stay at home order) and it was beyond stunning. Every single detail was thoroughly considered and executed on and it was a dream come true. I'd recommend The Belle Rae to anyone for anything and I can only hope to be back here attending another event very soon!

The Belle Rae with Shannon Hough. The wedding itself was beautiful and unlike any wedding I've been to. Location was great, and housed everyone perfectly. The design of the bar and table settings was more than I could have imagined. Flowers were gorgeous, the room itself to get ready in was perfect. It was beyond beautiful. Let's start with what was great:- Stairway as you walk up was green and pretty- Bridal suite had its own mini mimosa bar- We had our own bathroom- Guest entry decorated beautifully List of not so great things:- Custom cake topper was not put on, even though provided- Planner would not txt back, or ignore text messages (hard to get ahold of)- Didn't sign contract till weeks after deposit was cashed- Paid for the full package and was promised book planner that I never received- Paid for propane heaters (in our signed contract & in drawing that Shannon drew) but was not provided day of wedding, was told I did not pay for them. For a WINTER WEDDING.- "Bartenders" did not use ANY of my garnishes provided by myself to make our signature drinks (which were 2 drinks).- Cocktail skewers along with a lot of money in fruit and garnishes were wasted due to the bad bartenders- "Bartenders" did not use measuring utensils, and over poured all of our drinks, resulting in running out of some alcohols half way through the wedding- Guest were complaining about that the drinks were too strong, and the bartenders being extremely rude - Called to confirm mockup which was written in her calendar, and she didn't have anything ready. Put something together in minutes.- Was told by Shannon we can pick up our "getting ready stuff" the following morning, however after the reception was told we had to take everything that night! Besides a box of things, we were able to collect the next morning. - Even though we purchased the full package (the most expensive one) we were forced to pay for extra add ons that the package did not include. For being a wedding planner, we can't say exactly what she did for us besides collect our money and provide a venue. My mom and I basically planned 90 percent of the wedding, even though she was hired to do everything!

We had our wedding there on 10.12.19. Shannon and her team are absolutely AMAZING!!! We had a long engagement and had been planning for 2 and a half years. Over those two years we met with Shannon multiple times. I had a few pictures I showed her of things I liked but man oh man she absolutely blew me away. She had a vision and just brought it to life on the most important day for us. Everything went soooo incredibly smooth! Shannon also did our florals which I highly recommend. All of my friends and family have been ranting and raving about our wedding and how gorgeous it was! So I highly recommend Shannon and The Belle Rae venue!!!!

I planned a last minute bridal shower for a friend and when I say last minute I had 2 weeks to do this thing. The Belle Rae made this experience stress free, fun and easy. Becca and Shannon couldn't have made this shower any better. The decor was so beautifully done and so detail oriented. We went with the all inclusive package and the best money ever spent. I didn't have to set up or take down they cut the cake for us, made sure champagne was flowing. I will be using them again and all of our guests were blown away at how perfect the shower came out. The bride was in tears and I could not have done it without all of there help. Thank you Belle Rae for a fabulous afternoon :)

I really wanted to hire The Belle Rae for table and flower setting, however they're impossible to reach. Never returned my calls or messages. So unprofessional.

I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience has been with The Belle Rae (but I am going to try!). My husband has been going there since they opened to buy flowers and every experience has been an awesome one. They have always been so helpful when picking out the perfect bouquets for him to bring home. A few months ago we started planning my baby shower and were delighted to find out that they had all inclusive packages for smaller events. And when I say all inclusive I mean everything- planning, decor, linens, flatware, glasses, floral, and service. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE. From our first meeting to our last all of my questions were answered and needs were met. Michelle and Shannon are amazing! They perfectly captured the Tea Party theme and delivered more then I could have ever imagined. The day was perfect!!! Now I need to come up with another party idea so I can have another event in their space. THANK YOU!

I attended the Valentines Day event this year, it was a really great experience. The ambiance was relaxing and indulgent. The energy here from the location, attention to detail, and care is genuine. I'm glad I've discovered this venue and the people behind it and I'm looking forward to stopping in for coffee some day soon.

Shannon and her team were so great to work with. They handled everything for me and executed my vision better than I even envisioned. Anytime I had a question they were always happy to help, I never felt overwhelmed or stressed because they are so good at what they do! I can't wait for more parties in the future because we will for sure use them again.

The Belle Rae Team is unbelievable, they make sure every detail is taken care of. I have had several events at the Belle Rae as well as attended their Valentine's Day Event two years in a row now. The ambiance of this place is amazing and truly unlike any other event venue in Bakersfield. Shannon is doing my wedding florals and I couldn't be happier with our decision to use the Belle Rae. You won't be disappointed with her gorgeous florals, amazing staff, and creative mind. She makes every event wether it's at the Belle Rae or not one of a kind.

Went there for a consultation and it was a mess. They didn't have their numbers correct, and they kept adding additional charges to their so called packages. She just cares about your money!!!
