Service doesn't get any better than this! Ritchie, Jack, Sarah and crew are extremely knowledgeable. Their assessments are right on. Their work has always been done right the first time. They have always been considerate of my need to get back to work by getting the repairs done promptly. Their prices are reasonable. They accept credit cards.their shop is clean and organized. They carry top of the line equipment for sale. Sometimes they are even FRIENDLY! Seriously, these guys are the BOMB! They take care of my chain saws, pressure washers, mowers, trimmers, garden tractor and UTV. I tried several places in Bakersfield. Brought my 7 year old Echo chainsaw in to fix oiler screw that I have been just cutting with stuck in open position for a few years. At drop off I said runs great and I have always kept it up just wanted oiler screw fixed. Was quoted 65$ which 35 I paid upfront. After 2 months I was notified it was done and charged 90$ for labor and 40$ for a 20$ part. I just wish it was more transparent. Seemed shady and this was verified by the nice chasier who continued to apologise and give me the "you got screwed" look when I questioned the manager and paid what apparently was owed. I see a lot of people I know love and refer this place but this was my experience.

This place is top notch. Brought my mower in for a no start service. They fixed that issue but when i came to pick it up it wasn't starting. Turned out main coil went out. They replaced it for free due to the poor timing at which it happened. Ill bring all my small motor tools here no question. Great experience.

This is a go-to place for a friend of mine who lives in Tehachapi. Tehachapi Lawn and Garden Equipment services/repairs chain saws, mowers and other two cycle type farm/landscaping equipment. I've been in this shop several times in as many years, helping my pal with his riding mower which he gets serviced here, from time to time. My buddy also has the shop service his chain saws, of which he has several and uses A LOT throughout the year. I am very impressed by a couple of things here. Though it would seem that there is not much competition for this shop in Tehachapi, the owner (Jack) and the employees treats everyone who walks through the door like family; Extremely friendly and helpful. Jack, who obviously loves people, must pass on his people skills to the folks that work here, because they are all above and beyond what one finds in "garden" or "tool" stores or in those departments in the big box stores.On Tuesday, we waited for Jack while he was answering question after question from a needy customer. He then went outside to check out the rider/mower we brought to the shop. Of the two issues that my pal thought needed repairing, Jack showed us one issue was a minor fixit and the estimated cost of what my buddy thought needed to be done was about half of what he anticipated it was going to be.Great service from honest, home town, friendly people.

The locals have found out that Tehachapi Lawn & Garden is NOT the place to go. I thought i would give them a chance. Wrong! While waiting in Line I heard the Counter person telling the two customers in front of me that they would have to buy new equipment because of "Poor Compression". well funny how they told me the same thing about my two pieces of equipment as well. IF they even touched my equipment: 1 they would have been at least a little gas in it.2 if they put gas in it, they would have found the MASSIVE gas leak and bad carburetor bowl seal.3. The old oily Grime all over the unit would have been touched or cleaned. 4. The original Mechanic left and started his own Shop (Not far away, Please see Him). 5. After arguing with them I got my equipment back, and repaired it myself. Beware of Tehachapi Lawn & Garden on 105 W H St, Tehachapi, CA 93561, next to the Toy Store.

These guys are great. They took my lawnmower in and got it back into great running condition. The price is a little higher than I expected. However, with their service and quality of work, you get what you pay for. I'll be bringing some other machines in soon for some tune-ups.

First and foremost, Jim and his family are good people. Very friendly, honest. I brought my DR walk behind mower in and Jim and his crew got it up and running to perfection. His prices are fair, and the service is great.
