Tehachapi Furniture & Mattress Center

We are new in town and we're looking for a sectional couch. We went to Ashley in Palmdale and hated being followed around by a high-pressure sales person. Plus, that store has terrible reviews. We reached out to the Tehachapi Ask Facebook group and everyone recommended this store. The reviews say it all. We were able to go there and pick out a couch and then customize it with the fabric of our choice. So affordable! It took two weeks for delivery. The staff at this store is friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend buying local and doing business with this store.

Got our sectional couch here, and absolutely love it. So comfy, great quality, and we got SUCH an amazing deal on it. The folks here were incredibly helpful and friendly, and though there was one hiccup in the ordering process (that wasn't their fault), they handled it very professionally. Won't bother going anywhere else for furniture from now on.

What a surprise! Looked all over the Southland for just the right couch. Hours talking to snooty sales clerks, getting more frustrated by the minute.Came home and realized we never did check out this store.Tada! Found my dream sectional (modular to allow me to redecorate on a whim) at a great price and inexpensive delivery. The owner Eric, a talented actor at our local theater, and his staff took great care of us. To that point we went back and ordered another!Try them, you will be in for a treat! Thanks! I was so happy to find this little gem in Tehachapi. I had recently found an office chair in Bakersfield for over $1000 and asked Eric, the owner, if he could find something similar. I didn't tell Eric the price, but he found the same thing for $600!!! I will purchase all of my furniture from Tehachapi Furniture. Eric is so friendly and you do not feel any pressure. The last time I walked into a furniture store in Bakersfield I was so turned off because our "sales person" pointed us in the direction and then we couldn't find him. When we went to another person on the floor they wouldn't help us because someone had already greeted us and pointed us in the direction. I guess they wouldn't get the commission...I do not ever want to deal with that again.

I've heard nothing but great things from this place. Stopped in to find my son a futon after I ordered from another store and it was on back order for over a month. We were warmly greeting and he had exactly what we were looking for. He was professional and very knowledgeable. We will be going back for any future furniture purchases.

I had been looking for a comfortable durable sofa that could handle kids and dogs for nearly six months. Supportive but at the same time squishy. I picked one out, but when it came in it was very supportive, but didn't have that lazy Sunday snuggly comfort I wanted for the family. Eric put that sofa out for sale and scoured his manufacture's inventories. While I was wandering the store he said "I found it!" He pulled up a beautiful chenille sofa with piano key seat for sitting with dogs. It took a little over a month to get because it was made per order from the manufacture in Kentucky, but it is perfect! We have had it for several months now and although it is regularly covered in dog fur; it is the perfect family, snuggly, supportive, kid tough, dog proof, settle in for an evening and watch television sofa. It is holding up under teenagers and a yellow lab. Eric was spot on!

The owner and his employees are totally amazing! So knowledgeable, super friendly and also so accommodating. They made my furniture shopping experience so enjoyable and fun. HIGHLY recommend them as your "go to" place for any type of furniture. They have it all!

Recently moved to Tehachapi and love this store... local, nice, helpful, and fair pricing with great service.I ordered mattresses for my new place and the sales person (Savanna) helped me pick out what I needed. They were reasonably priced and delivered a day or two later right on time.Eric and staff will order whatever you need if they don't have it, and are just delightful to work with. I love supporting small-town businesses (which Tehachapi is chock full of!) and it's such a pleasure to do business with the people who actually own the business and want their customers to be happy.

Last minute we needed a new dresser for the baby nursery. Called this place and they had one for us that was perfect. Super easy and pleasant dealing with the owner Eric. Will be back in the future for our furniture needs!

The service is exceptional! I was in a bind and needed a lift chair immediately. They let me pay for it over the phone and had it delivered with a few hours. Great place for furniture. We've ordered most of our furniture from them and will continue to.
