I needed curry leaves, and figured this was the place to get them. The man working was incredibly helpful, and got me what i needed while showing me around the store. The selection and prices are great! I will totally stop in here next time I am in need of spices that I had to order online in the past. I decided to order the samosas based on the reviews here, and they were delicious! My 2 year old said MMMM with every bite, which lasted pretty much the entire drive home. :)

I was so excited to see this shop opening in Visalia. The selection is great and the service is awesome. I went in looking for spices for Butter Chicken. They helped me find everything I needed and were super friendly. The prices were fantastic as well. They have gorgeous embroidered clothing, loads of treats, beautiful costume jewelry, and they do threading and henna. While I was shopping, they did a simple henna design on my four year old daughter's hand, which she just loved. I'm really happy to have this market nearby and will certainly be back in often.

Don't shop here if you expect good customer service! The owner of the store is very rude and VERY cheap. I have been a loyal customer at this store since discovering accidentally just under a year ago. I saw it as a relaxing, fragrant, clean, and seemingly friendly local family owned business (I always try to support local family owned businesses whenever possible) and I was all for it. Up until now I visited this store often and had incorporated it into my list of favorites when it came to grocery shopping. The last time I visited I purchased a jar of Tahini for a new recipe that I'd found. I bought it, brought it home, and shelved it as I planned on using it later on in the week. I didn't end up making the recipe until about a week in a half later. I noticed that there was no seal on the jar but I figured that one of my housemates had opened it without telling me so I shrugged it off and used the Tahini. No more than 20 minutes after eating it I developed stomach cramps, followed by nausea and a migraine. The Tahini had been opened in the store and had made me sick. I figured that exchanging it and bringing it to the shop owners attention would best way to go.I brought it back, along with my receipt, and very calmly and respectfully explained what happened. He then, in a very sarcastic and condescending tone told me that it was my fault, I should have called the day that I bought it, and there was nothing that he could do. He asked if I'd expected him to "send it back to his manufacturer saying that someone bought this 20 days ago and it was open". He also claimed that he "cannot confirm my story because the employee who rang me up no longer worked there" (as if she would have opened it before selling it to me) He repeated himself over and over and made sure that I knew that it was my fault, not that it was his fault for having poor quality control, but my fault. He then walked away and turned up the volume on his tv (which was completely unnecessary considering that I never took a temper or raised my voice with him, not to mention I'm a naturally soft spoken person) and turned away. What he could have done was marked it off as a "damaged item" and gotten the money back in taxes but instead he mocked and insulted one of his few regular customers. I was not asking for a refund, I merely wanted to exchange a bad product that I purchased at his store and also inform him so that he was aware that people may be damaging his merchandise but instead I was treated like a criminal; he acted as though I were trying to steal from him. I will no longer be shopping at this store and if you have any respect for yourself or expect to be treated like a human being then please do not shop here either. Do not line the pockets of horrible people like this. If you absolutely need to buy Indian groceries then look elsewhere. Everything that they sell can be purchased online or in Fresno. Please do not support unethical businesses or shop owners that don't value their customers, local or not.

A very clean and well-stocked store. Has quality products of Mediterranean and South-Asian (Pakistan/India) regions. The owner is an extremely polite and helpful guy. Though I am parked right at the door, he always grabs my shopping bags and carries them to the car, without being asked to do so.

I stopped in because I was feeling hungry for some samosas. I had read the previous reviews on yelp and decided to stop in.I had a wonderful time in the shop! First off I asked them for mukhwas, of which they have a wide variety. Then my eyes caught glimpses of the saris they had nearly hidden from view. They are absolutely gorgeous, and very affordable. I continued to buy some small jewelry. Which was also very affordable. They have a pretty good selection of Indian food, and the owners were very gracious and pleasant. The next time I come I'm going to get some henna done.Oh yeah, and the samosas? Absolutely sublime!
