Taco Bros

I'm giving this place 5 stars because the convenience sss worth one whole star. No standing at a truck outside.... Taco Bros has a drive thru! I ordered the Birria taco combo which comes with 2 tacos withoutcheese, consommé, rice, beans & a drink. All if this for $13. The birria tacos alone were pretty good but the fact that you can find something this good in a drive through gives this place 5 stars. The service was friendly, too. They didn't rush me while I looked at the menu and asked a question. The ambiance is very casual and if the weather is OK, they have a nice seating area outside for you to sit.

This is theeeeee best place to go for tacos. Duh. But the frickin CHICKEN BIRRIA FRIES. I thought I died & went to heaven. The fries were perfectly seasoned not too much salt (I HATE TOO MUCH SALT) The portion was massive, tons of amazing chicken with sour cream & nacho cheese. Highly highly highly recommend. The staff was super sweet & very personable making jokes & making us super comfortable! The price was even reasonable. 13 bucks for ALL OF THAT. you go anywhere else a piece of grilled chicken by itself horrible seasoned is 9 dollars. This place honestly couldn't get any better. I don't usually leave reviews but this place on Ming. DESERVES IT.

This review is definitely long overdue. We've been here numerous times now, when we first visited Taco Bros a little bit ago it was when they were located downtown. I believe in my own opinion that they have one of the best biria in town. They don't only have biria though, so don't shy away from their other stuff.Prices are not too bad. What is the reason why we visit this place frequently? Because they have a drive-thru and it's easy for us people that's on the go. The downside of using the drive-thru during lunch and dinner rush is the long lines. If you follow them on instagram they have deals/offers sometimes, so follow them if you're a fan of their food so you can stay informed.Their food always stays consistent and their breakfast burritos is probably one of the cheapest in town. I've never ordered anything here that I didn't like. Staff is usually pretty friendly. The restaurant inside always looks clean and even the seating outside is usually pretty clean.

I've never ever had a poor experience ordering from my favorite restaurant until today. We ordered door dash. A simple chicken Alfredo with a spinach dip with bread. The chicken alfredo was bomb, as per usual... but what arrived didn't look anything like what door dash had listed. The spinach dip was supposed 5o come with bread, it came with stale old chips. The spinach dip was red & very tomato based spinach dip. It was very good but not what we expected. My coworker called & they were very kind but not much they could do about replacing it in the moment. They said to request the refund on door dash, took her name for a credit.

Tried 2 breakfast burritos, chorizo & asada. They were both delicious and applied their bogo offer. The burrito includes your meat of choice, eggs, crispy hashbrowns, cheese, pico & salsa. Incredibly tasty and the crunchy potatoes are a great addition. The tortilla is grilled on the outside. We had our doodle in the back seat and the server offered us a pup cup that was grilled chicken. So nice and appreciated! They were friendly and received our food quickly through the drive-thru.

Awesome Birria tacos for take out. Service is exceptional- food as ordered ready in 15 minutes! Taco Combo available w/ refried or pot beans.

Update! I still love me some taco bros. I truly feel that they have the BEST breakfast burrito in town. The price is killer too! I love their asada, chicken and cauliflower. I usually sub out the potatoes and cheese. I do wish the burritos came with beans standard. They are always doing some sort of special, employees are always friendly, service is great. I like that they have the online platform so I can place an order just before my lunch and it is ready by the time I get there.

Taco Bros is one of Bakersfield's finest treasures making some killer food! They're consistently good and the prices are great! I love everything on the menu because our food is cooked to order. Their salsas are the bomb, the burritos taste so good and fill you up. My favorite is how nice the managers and employees are, they understand customer care!

On the West side of Ming Ave, South of Vallhalla there's a block that resembles 18th street: two taco restaurants side by side. But in addition to excellent tacos, burritos, and birria, Taco Bros also serves wonderful pasta dishes. My son and I dug into chips and spicy bean dip. It was indeed spicy, cheesy, and obviously made in house! We also sampled the spicy chicken penne (my lovely wife got in on this too!)which was fresh, had a great blend of fresh herbs, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes with a creamy, spicy but not too spicy, sauce. It was better (and 30% less expensive) than anything from either of the chain Italian restaurants in town (which we've been to plenty of times)! Delicious! My son had the asada burrito with refried beans which he loved. My wife said her shrimp tacos were the best, and I thoroughly enjoyed the birria plate. We have lots of leftovers! The only things that are gone are the delicious pineapple agua frescas I ordered. Definitely made in house - not syrupy, but just sweet enough. The star of the show, though, are the people behind the counter. All three of them I interacted with were friendly and just nice. But Chef Alanito stole. the. show!! He was excited about his food (with good reason) and loved spoiling the customers who walked in to order to go. One Dad and his young son (maybe 7?) walked in. Chef Alanito looked at the boy and said, "You want a churro don't you?" and proceeded to give him one. That's old fashioned kindness that you rarely see these days. And... they cater the Italian food! Guys! It's goooood!

Went in the drive thru and the order taker was extremely nice, had to take a minute to browse their menu and did not feel rushed at all. It was a quick and easy transaction but had to wait a bit for my food which was understandable because I got Cajun Chicken Pene Pasta, Birria Sliders, and 3 Asada Tacos which all came out to $40 rounded up. Everything tasted amazing and tasted "just like your mamas" home cooked meals.
