I've traveled around the world and I would have to say this place has the best ice cream. The scoops are humongous. The ice cream is perfect. Love it! Especially the lemon!!!

Who doesn't love ice cream at Superior Dairy?! The servings are huge, so order accordingly. Between 10 and 20 of us drove to Hanford last week after a lunch Corvette run. There were two employees when we arrived and they handled our little crowd with ease. I ordered a hot fudge sundae, oh so good and too much to finish. And that was a small size. Cute little place. No indoor seating currently. But it's for sale! 2.5m I read somewhere. SD is definitely worth the drive to Hanford anytime.

Really sucks you can't sit and eat ice cream. This is a popular spot so there was a line, but nothing unbearable. Ice cream comes in huge servings and was pretty good. I suggest trying a flavor before buying it because some can be hit or miss.

Recently, I embarked on a journey to the city of Hanford, eager to share this cherished experience with my wife, who had never had the opportunity to explore this region of Central California. Since my childhood, I have frequented this establishment, relishing the nostalgic ambiance of a 1950s diner, complete with pink seats and intimate seating arrangements. However, today presented a formidable challenge, as the weather reached a scorching 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Hanford exudes the charm of a quintessential Mayberry-esque town, where the heart of the community revolves around a picturesque and historically significant park. The staff exhibited exceptional courtesy while offering samples of their Summer Peach ice cream, featuring a creamy peach flavor complemented by fresh peach pieces. My wife opted for a single scoop of peach ice cream, while our three sons chose peach shakes. I was surprised, as my wife typically prefers chocolate ice cream. On a scorching day like this, the ice cream was a delightful treat for my wife and sons. However, I must express my disappointment upon noticing a prominent sign stating, "No Seating Allowed Anywhere in this Diner." Given the hot weather, I had anticipated that the diner would offer open seating, as it had during my previous visits. Instead of dwelling on this inconvenience, our family decided to take a short walk to the scenic park across the street, where we enjoyed the shade while savoring our Kings County old school creamery ice cream.

Stopped by this place on our way back from the Sequoias. Arrived and found that they have no inside seating. Only take out. The inside of the place was pretty run down. Restrooms were available, however they were located in the storage area. The men's restroom you couldn't close the door and only one if three hinges were actually attached.The service was excellent and the ice cream was really good. I will say the portions were huge. The lower rating was only for the up keep of the facility

I came here thanks to a friend's recommendation. While I would've preferred to be able to sit down, the banana split that I ordered for take out was very delicious and made for a memorable eating experience.

Many times have my friends and I enjoyed the plethora of delightful offerings of Superior Dairy. Whoever acquires this business will, I believe, have secured a very wise investment!

You'd better come hungry. Superior's "brand" is enormous scoops. The ice cream itself is good but not the best on the planet, and the flavors are limited - but you go for the novelty of the size.The ambience is a little unfriendly since COVID - large "Do Not Sit" signs on the counters, seating blocked off, and not allowing inside eating even when the weather is over 100 degrees. The reason given is that they can't hire enough staff, but there could be other ways to accommodate customers, like stand-up tables and/or counter ordering. They're risking alienating long -term customers.But, hey, it's still fun. We live in a nearby town and sent some of our granddaughter's visiting softball team to the "local legend." They weren't disappointed.Tip - 2 scoops to share are WAY less expensive than 2 single scoops.

The strawberry is good, the rocky road is ok. You are not allowed to eat in there. It looked run down. They only had 9 flavors. It's been around for 85 years. Across from the town square. We sat outside on a park bench.

It's the best place to go for a milkshake or a sundae! The service is friendly and the vibe is well broken-in 1950s chic! Highly recommended!
