I will be the minority on my experience. I found Sorel boots for just $8!!! I found many adorable dresses for $3 and new Victoria's secret underwear!! I have no idea why others feel they are over priced? huh? maybe because of new management? During lunch time everyone stops for prayer time. That is right before lunch. So no big deal but just heads up. Staff is super nice. The actual store is big and lots to explore and clean. They even had a wedding dress section. I LOVE this thrift store! Plus all proceeds go to a good cause to help others! So if you ask me its a win win situation. I shall return!! Love it! So my experience was I found the prices reasonable to dirt cheap. Maybe they have change their ways for the better.

A huge store with a large, well-organized selection but DAMN the prices are so freaking high. Of course the thrift shop with the highest prices I've seen (and that's saying a lot since I live in OC and grew up thrifting in the run-down parts of the southeast USA) is located in the lowest-income part of B-Field. I kinda feel bad for the people who live here. If you want something nice, just go to Walmart or Target and it'll be cheaper. However, if you want a dirty piece of crap, a portrait of a creepy couple (kinda cool and weird BTW) or the world's widest pants, you're in luck! I'd pass on this place though - away too pricey.

I have used St. Vincent's donation pickup service a number of times, and they are always courteous and arrive on time. Plus, what better cause to support? Call these folks first for your used furniture, left-over garage sale items, and anything of value you're no longer using.

The staff here is great! Store is clean and organized. I've found very nice things here. If you purchase several items at once you can also consult the manager for a discount on your purchase. There is a separate area for antiques/collectibles and another room for baby items.

Kinda wack tbh. I was expecting more but it seems like a lot of junk. Maybe if you go you can find something but it's mostly junk. And they keep all the good stuff behind the counter I guess just in case for robbery but you go and don't really see anything

Prices are high! I get it the money does goes back to the community. The staff for the most part is friendly. The manager is not so much. I was purchasing a table that was way over priced. I asked for a lower price and the manager got upset. It seemed as if they don't want to sell the items that are all donated to them!!! They are making profit at any price. They need to lower prices so that they can sell more. I have a hard time returning but most likely will because of the cause. Try it for yourself.

This is one of the better organized thrift stores in Bakersfield. St Vincent has a decent if not large selection of clothes, a good amount of housewares, and a large selection of books. Most important, I haven't seen it get ridiculously crowded, and I haven't had to almost trip over a kid hiding in an aisle. If you're a bookworm looking to save $ and you're disappointed by the lack of secondhand book stores in town, look no further. This place has alot (I even saw Twilight!)The clothes selection here is a bit more outdated than a Goodwill or Salvation Army (less turnover I suppose) but I did see a few gems that were a few sizes too big.I didn't walk out with any hidden treasures today, but I do plan on returning and trying again. The organized setting and spaciousness of the store really make a difference.

WAY overpriced for quality and brands. Clerks should take note and half everything. Cheaper pieces can be found on brand new items at JCPenney!
