Very limited beer selection. Service was average at best. Prices are decent. Pretty cool outdoor front porch style outside bar! Decent vibe. Would be a 4 or 5 star but the employees and patrons all seemed like a rough bunch! Too bad because a lot of potential here but just didn't feel comfortable.

I can't believe I didn't write a review when I was up there. I drove up here to visit a friend and he took me out around town to show me around. This place seemed fun so we stopped by for a drink or two. We ended up staying downstairs and ordered a few more drinks and played pool with eachother and with the locals! I won once and the guy I was seeing up there kicked my butt after but what a fun vibe! Everyone there was nice and cool. The bar tenders were nice and fast! I even got free popcorn! Thank you, kind sir, for grabbing me some! Indoor and outdoor seating! Great for sports and get togethers!Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

So much fun!!! Bartender Sarah Anne, saraann??? , I believe, cute blonde with a great attitude, showed us a great time at this bar. I like a dive bar with a with cute bartender with a sense of humor. Place had pool and cornhole. They let you sit out side and drink at a tiny little bar, perfect if you have a dog. Came here the nights we stayed in kernville. Sad that saraann wasn't there all the nights. When in town I'll come back definitely.

Downstairs is a grungy, classic mountain dive bar with bikers, locals and visitors hanging out. But wait: times are a changing. I'm told the new owner is from LA and ran Boardners in Hollywood (great spot), so she's a pro who has been making some critical upgrades. Downstairs may be funky, but upstairs is a different world. The new upstairs deck is usually open on weekends and is a whole lot prettier and quite sleek with its own bar, a cool loft area and a great outdoor patio to lounge on - a perfect place to oversee smalltown Kernville. Bartenders are friendly, custom cocktails are cute and strong. I love the Locals Lounge on Sunday afternoons with live music and The KR Ceviche Company or Mr.Taco serving their authentic Mexican fare.

The only reason they're only getting a two star is because of that bartender patients we have tipped her, we buy drinks .She don't have any manners no thank you nothing . Not even a hello when you walk in.I cannot stand this girl, but love the bar. She needs customer service schooling

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE first time here and they accused me of having a bottle and substances ... after already being in the place for 2 hours ?? Like first of all how is that possible I was there whole night, when I showed them my bag I had nothing and bar tender lady was believing based off "some girls word" (3rd party) without proof is false accusations and I only had ONE drink the whole night ?? To make it worse I'm a visitor up here at kernville ... THEY WILL LOSE tourist coming back and MONEY doing that, regardless if some girl had an issue and had to lie to the bartender/security, that is based off insecurities and projecting her low self esteem issues onto our group.. boo hoo this place is a -00000000.1/10 never coming back.

If you are visiting the beautiful town of KERNVILLE, you must stop for a drink at SPORTSMAN'S bar. I was there for Whiskey flats weekend and visited this great bar. You can play pool or catch a game, great music (country) good selection of beers and drinks and live music. Also, AMAZING STAFF, everyone is nice and welcoming. Close enough to all the local delicious restaurants as well, this is a great place to enjoy with friends. Very much enjoyed the outside seating area with heaters in the event it gets cold, and let's not forget to mention the upstairs patio absolutely gorgeous, beautiful décor with a western feel, lots of seating area, beautiful views and a convenience upstairs bar to drink and chill. This place is Amazing!!! Spent my whole weekend up in Kern for Whiskey Flats at this bar. The space, drinks, music, view, you can't beat it!!! It's a must go when your in Kern for sure!!!

Patience was rudest bartender ive ever dealt with. Literally killed all the vibes of the night. She needs to be in the kitchen if she doesn't like to deal with people
