Checking in was super easy and the place seemed promising although the outside was sketchy as hell. The room was nice, however, in the middle of the night my son screamed a bed bugs, once he got up I noticed I was bitten as well. I left that hotel in the middle of the night to spend $200 at the CY Marriott. Priceline contacted them about my refund and they have not answered the request. I am in NO WAY paying to be bitten by parasites!! Thankfully my son felt the stinging it saved us from being eaten up!!

Came back from a Christmas Eve dinner and the parking lot not well lit. Saw a guy trying to jack a car blatantly in front of us. We reported it to the front desk but front desk didn't care. Got nasty with us and said sarcastically " Merry Christmas". She doubted that there would be any security . Had to call the Bakersfield PD ourselves. Concerned this guy would be back. Bad area and would NOT recommend this hotel or staff either.NOT a safe place to stay. Reserved and paid on line was supposed to be 290 ended up being 402!!! 4Free Breakfast is not breakfast it's just coffee and bagels. Suggest to advertise as such. Additionally charged the $ 290 from my on line booking.com account AND charged us 402!? UPDATE: thank goodness we have a senior person at the front desk at check out today!!! She fixed our problem of overcharge payments!

Change the toilets for adults, not kids , the toilets were so small so shallow that when you sat on it your junk ( penis ) goes for a swim with anything you might have deposited in the toilet. Saving money is one thing but teaching my junk to swim in my piss is disgusting. And a life guard too be seen. Other than that clean and beautiful.

Being a Hilton hotel, you'd see the same big rooms and coffee, water, and tea by the lobby. Staff were nice and there is always someone in the lobby 24/7, which was very convenient for us, checking in at 2am. I think the parking was free, too. On the downside, the hotel is a bit outdated and location-wise, it may not be the best as there are a lot of people loitering around, considering it is near the freeway. Breakfast was very limited. There was nothing freshly-made, no eggs or sausages, just some bagels that you can heat up. They have butter though. I mean not bad for an overnight stay, especially if it was just to catch up on a few hours of sleep.

We stayed at this hotel on our roadtrip to Northern California. Overall it was a nice hotel, you can tell it was just remodeled but I love the fact that it's all indoor and had AC. The rooms were clean and welcoming, beds were comfortable and AC worked well in the rooms. In the morning they have a cute coffee bar and continental breakfast. Staff wad nice and accommodating. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because i ordered a 2 Queen room for my family of 5 and they gave us a room with 1 king and stated they were sold out (mind you i booked weeks in advanced) but they offered a rollaway bed for my oldest so that did help. Also the area didn't feel the safest at night but it wasn't horrible. Overall very nice hotel we were happy ..kids loved it.

The room was fine. Big, clean, quiet. However, day-old bagels and spotty bananas does not a Continental Breakfast make. There is a sign that says if you don't find what you want you can "visit the retail center".Really?!? That is poor form, even for Bakersfield.

Comparable price. Nice Hotel with Dog friendly services. The area is if-fy. We parked under a light and they had security who was walking the perimeter.

Very convenient location and great for an overnight stay. We did not eat the breakfast, but from what we saw it was just bagels. The front desk was extremely nice and they were always there. You do get free parking and the parking lot is shared with the restaurant in the same parking lot. The area is not the best, a lot of loitering, but coming in around 9pm, I did not feel unsafe. The room was a bit outdated and could really use some love, but did not see a single bug, did not hear anyone, and overall quiet. HOWEVER, the reason why we are giving it three stars is because we did the mobile check in with the mobile key and something happened with the front desk where they gave us and another person the same room. When we went to go into our room, someone was already in there!!!! So unprofessional and embarrassing for the guest in bed and us walking in there. The front desk apologized profusely and did fix the situation ASAP, but would never do a mobile check in. The result was the person on the first shift got our names confused as they both started with the same letter.

We needed to have a place to stay for a couple days due to some work being done on our house. After calling around so many places to try to find a handicap wheelchair accessible place, I ended up calling a phone number. I saw on the Internet that oversaw all the hotels here in Bakersfield. Do not ever use those people. There prices were higher. I will say this upon staying at the Hampton although there was no microwave in the room there was one not far down the hall.. the people at the check-in place were incredibly nice and helpful. The bathroom was a great size for my father because he's in a wheelchair. It made it easier to help him shower and get cleaned up. The first morning we were there. They had a decent breakfast layout however the second morning they had very little to offer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Thank goodness they had fresh coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the front room. One more thing I will say in calling around the different hotels in Bakersfield most of them had trouble with vehicles in the parking lot getting broken into. This place on site security cameras, and it was wonderful. We did not have to worry about our car being broken into at all. Thank you again to the Hampton people in Central Bakersfield on Oak Street.
