Sherman Oaks Banquet Hall

Great venue and event space, I pass sometimes on walks, but have had the pleasure of attending a handful of events here including a workshop, tasting panel via Facts N' Figures (when they would sometimes utilize this space when needed) and a birthday party that was pretty festive.They have a capacity of up to just shy of 200 people, easy layout, friendly staff and seem super accommodating - With a huge fridge for storing food, large stage, nice acoustics, speaker system, lighting, restrooms and lots of space. It definitely always feels smaller from the outside on the corner of Kester Avenue and Camarillo, but you'll be surprised. And being inside of a neighborhood makes parking for guests/attendees really tricky for a big gathering, but not impossible. They do have a parking lot next to the Banquet Hall and it can hold a good number of cars I feel like it's around 30 or so comfortable factoring in if everyone is leaving around the same time and that the majority of parking spots are facing one direction.Their prices vary depending on dates as well as the number of guest. Being such a small private venue with limited advertising or media I'd like to see them do as well as they were doing before 2020. You can spot their numbers on their banners when passing by (Hall for Rent) and pretty much call anytime of day.

This place is really really nice ! We had our daughters sweet 16 there in November . The whole event turn out amazing.Of course we did all the set up ,decorations, and party planning.Im talking just about the venue itself. I highly recomend this place for your events for about 100 -120 people .More then that it will be too crowded ! But the owner is a really great guy. He is very calm and patient and very helpful . One last thing they have parking for your guess that it self is a big plus +

This place is amazing. We celebrated my father's 69th birthday and everything came out perfect. Bob my friend was super nice and welcoming. Make sure to be friendly with him. My father and family had a great time.

I have my daughter's Quinceanera two weeks ago at this place and everything just went went great ! I want to thank Mrs. Odi , because she was a big help and professiona!

This was an intimate, beautiful, and inexpensive hall to get married in! Odie was the woman who handled all the details for us and made sure our special day was perfect. We had a small wedding of 110 and she was very helpful in the event planning. Odie also made referrals for catering, supplies, and for video. Her decoration of the hall was lovely and the attention to detail was excellent. Great place for a celebration! Thank you Odie!

I am a local Realtor in LA ....I am just blown away by this space. I found them on Yelp in order to find a spot to host a First Time Home Buyers Event with Go Country's Mortgage Mom Radio Show. Odee was AMAZING. She helped guide me throughout the whole process. The day of she was there to make sure I had everything I needed to make my event with 80 plus people run smoothly and efficiently. The price was amazing. Parking was not an issue at all (with plenty of street and a parking lot)The place is clean and charming.I can't wait to have another event - whether its for business or personal at the Sherman Oaks Woman's Club!

Odee is the manager of this place and while she is a very nice person, she is also very unorganized and forgetful. She does not have a proper system in place that helps her keep track of who comes in and out, who she holds dates for, who came first, lacks proper communication, etc. I've should of known better, as she only jots your name down on one of those calendars you keep on your wall (this one was a kitty cat one) should you want to hold the date. She does not ask for a phone number, no last name, no date of when you came in, and tells you she can hold the date for a couple weeks until you decide. Should you decide you need to bring in a $300 cash deposit. A second person will come in and want the same date, and once again she will jot down their name only. Despite sending text messages as this is what she prefers, and she herself confirming that she is holding the date you requested, you show up with your deposit and she doesn't know who you are, where you came from, what she said, what she confirmed, what flippin' kitty cat page she put you on! She says she has two names jotted down on the date I requested and she doesn't know who came first, and can't book the hall to me. Mind you I texted her that morning telling her I would be in with the deposit and she responded great. The hall itself works out great for a smaller event; however if you are going to go with this place and your date is open, book it right there and then with a deposit, otherwise she will not remember what the heck she told you, and a waste of time!

Odee Odee Odee (I may be spelling her name wrong). But let me just say this. Odee is an amazing sweethearted Lady. I had my wedding here on September 16th 2017 and the reception here as well. And let me just tell you, she made my day/event just as beautiful as I imagined. She is patient, understanding, and so very helpful. I could have picked a bwttee place or human being to help me plan out everything to my liking (being an event planner myself) soooo you know I had OCD. Lol. Anyways Odee thank you for everything amd you are now apart of my family. You are a Beautiful Blessing!!

Recently had my baby shower here. Staff was very professional with Contacts regarding the venue. The only downside to the venue is they don't provide table cloths, but they do work with vendors that they can have rented them and you have access to the kitchen. There is a separate room for a Buffet. The bathrooms are very clean, both woman and man the patio was nicely Lit with string light.

Is this place cute and adorable? Of course. Is Odi the worst person to run it? Of course.Odi is EXTREMELY unorganized!! I had questions about prices, and it was always a different answer to the same question. She mentioned it would be $30 PER TABLE for her to set it up. The day I went to leave the payment, she said it was $70 per table. Fortunately I write down everything and showed her what she had said. She didn't want to honor the $30 price she had previously given.She asked if I was going to need waiters, I said yes. And be VERY mindful of the waiters she hires. They WILL steal from you. They insisted on us not taking the beer out of the cartons and when it was time for them to leave, the 3 of them ran off with 2 cases of beer each. We tried telling them to come back and they didn't. Another thing we noticed is that we had a huge cake order, and some how it wasn't enough? Well guess what, when we were picking up after the party, there were only 2 cake boxes instead of 3. So you know what that means, they stole the 3rd.I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It was a disaster trying to confirm things with Odi and on top of that she hires thieves.
