ServiceMaster at Bakersfield

We had water damage resulting from a leak in our attic. Our insurance company sent out ServiceMaster. Ricky has been amazing- responsive, reliable and honest. Sure, it's not fun to have to have jet engines running 24/7 in your house during summer- but I'm thankful that this company had the equipment to do the job, and that they made the process as painless as possible. They were available via text and phone, checked in on us throughout the drying out process and kept us apprised of the process. Ricky worked cooperatively with the other contractors working in the multiple issues we had with our house. We had a great experience with Service Master and Ricky.

Beware Beware Beware!!!! Stay away from this company, the company was contracted through my insurance but months later we get a bill for thousands of dollars. lack of communication, lack of professionalism, and nothing but excuses, please do not use this company so you do not have to go through all this BS. If I had negative starts I would definitely use them

consumer beware!!! do not use this company! this company was contracted through my insurance but 7months later my garage is still completely damaged, pod taking up the driveway, lack of communication, lack of professionalism, and nothing but excuses for the paid job that was never completed. thomas (rep) in charge of the job not only does he not care about the client but decided to go on vacation in the middle of a pending job. please do not use this company so you do not have to go through all this trouble of getting your home fixed. thank you

Horrible company with poor work and business ethics. They flooded my home while doing a repair as my insurance companies "preferred provider." What a joke. They ended up bidding the job on the damage they created and then fought me tooth and nail on the repairs. They also submitted fraudulent estimates to my insurance for work they never completed. This company was a complete nightmare to work with. I liken them to used car salesmen. Avoid at all costs.

Lack of communication on project. Does not respect home. Does not complete all task on work order but charges for them. Insurance utilizes them but they are not professional. Job completed had flaws but we were so happy to get rid of them we just let it be. They didn't even clean the paint splatter off my screen doors. They did not discard of their trash and left items we had to clean up. Overpriced for the service provided.

They are not honest and you will end up with a higher bill then what was discussed. I don't recommend them.

Caesar and Robert are excellent hard-working gentleman. They absolutely went Way beyond just getting their work done! They are very professional, friendly explaining everything so I understood the process with the different obstacles that occurred during their work day with me. Many thanks go to them for their patience and dedication to getting their job done!

I chose Servicemaster because they were one of the higher rated water restoration companies in the area. But after my experience, I can't recommend them. Throughout the whole process, I felt like the company saw me as another job in an overbooked scheduled instead of feeling like I was a priority. Some days no one would show up, and often I didn't get a heads-up in advance that no one was coming. Other days one person would show up for a few hours, then go to another job. There was a gap of about three weeks in between water mitigation and rebuild where we were just in limbo. I think three different estimators came out, and two different site managers were assigned to the job. If they had dedicated a crew of a few people for 8 hour days, it would have easily been completed in a fraction of the time. The job took more than three times longer than estimated, and kept coming in higher than estimated at every step of the job. The guys that came to the house were nice enough, but the whole process felt like no one knew what was happening. The painter didn't communicate with the site manager, who didn't communicate with the office, etc. The final job was mediocre. Somehow it felt slow and rushed at the same time. We had some of the poor work redone or fixed, but at the end of the job, I was just over it. It was months of unnecessarily slow progress that I was ready to be over. Maybe our job wasn't big enough or worth their time, but I wish they would have told me ahead of time that they wouldn't dedicate the resources that should have been dedicated to it. I would have gladly looked for a different company who would have put in the time and effort.

Save yourself and your house from ServiceMaster! I had a water leak from my AC in my attic. I called service master to make the necessary repairs. They finally were able to come to my home to begin the process one week later. They completed the drying process which included a 10'x10' hole in my ceiling which I understand was necessary. However, once that portion of the job was complete they told me it would be over a month before they could finish the job they had started. Furthermore, upon initial meeting I was given an estimate for the job but was failed to be told that in reality it was only an estimate for half of the job. I called and spoke to Hector who could not understand my frustration and made no effort to correct or improve the situation. Overall a horrible company with horrible customer service. I will be having a different company finish the job. Save yourself the time, money and headache.
