Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant

First time here and decided to try this place since every place around here close early.... It's a nice little place but decent sized dining room and a mini gift shop.I ordered the ribs and it was definitely really good and filling... It was enough to share since I got the full rack! The meat was so tender and it fell off the bone so easily which is my fave. I asked them to not put too much BBQ sauce and they did just that... It was enough BBQ sauce on it to where I didnt feel overwhelmed with the sauce but it did get me quite full after.My bf got the pork tenderloin with baked potato and notice when he tasted the pork that it was cooked on the same grill as fish which means they didn't clean the grill before cooking the pork.... Which means there was cross contamination involved! My mother got the apple pecan chicken salad and it was just enough to fill her up.

Mediocre. The ribs and the fries were good, but the lemon chicken was simply terrible. And those two things plus two iced teas cost $73 (with tip). The worst part was that it was very hot in the restaurant. We were sweating. It was much cooler in the bathrooms and outside.

I should have taken more pictures of the food but I did have this one from Snapchat and saved it because it was so ridiculous! We had a group of 7 and ordered a couple appetizers (mozzarella sticks and nachos) this is the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks! It looked like watery salsa! It was so watered down it was flavorless! Then our meals came out and the steaks were poor quality and tough! We ordered medium rare filet medallions and ribeye... both were like that! I've never had a filet so tough! The ranch dressing on the salad was the worst bottled ranch I've ever tasted! I do not recommend this restaurant at all! Very overpriced for poor quality food!

To start, there are definitely some okay dishes at this location which I would recommend but be VERY careful with their service.We had ordered 4 dishes for our table. The supreme nachos were pretty good but were lacking on sauce/sides. We ordered a chicken caesar salad which tasted normal (needed it after a hefty weekend). Also got the full rack of ribs (these were actually pretty good!). Lastly, we ordered steak fajitas. The steak fajitas were so poorly cooked and seasoned. The steak was super well done which made them dry. On top of that, there were only tiny bits and pieces that looked like rabbit food.If we were judging solely on the food, I'd have given them a rating of something like this. (Out of 5)Nachos - 3.5Ribs - 4Steak Fajitas - 1.5Caesar - 2.5Aside from the food, the service was good until we found out what happened with our bill. Turns out that our server had charged us for EXTRA PLATES. We were sharing the ribs and nachos so we had wanted some extra plates. The server kindly got them for us and didn't say anything regarding a charge. On top of that, the nachos were lacking in sauce so we asked for additional sour cream and the salsa. Turns out this tiny container of salsa cost us $3.50. The container was the size of a 1oz cup....The communication was definitely lacking at this location if they were going to charge us these extras. The experience was okay until the end with the surprises. Tried to speak with them regarding it but they said they couldn't remove it. Decided that we'd just take the hit on our side and here we are.

Our server was super friendly, checked on us several times and regularly. The ribeye was seasoned with peppercorn and was excellent without the need for steak sauce. The burger has huge and quality was excellent as well. Great overall experience from start to finish!

Stopped here on our way up to the sequoias. Coffee was horrible. It tasted like flavored water. When I asked for a cup of stronger coffee it was then tar. Order water to be on the safe side. I don't eat much so I got a side of bacon. That was good. But my BF ordered a his eggs well done and to be honest they looked like that fake egg stuff and he had to return them to get cooked more. I'd skip this place on our next trip. Sorry.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I would rather not eat than come here. Aside from the fact they didn't turn the air on there was ants on our table and on the walls. The food was so over priced and inedible. It was horrible.

Close to entrance of sequoia National park. Restaurant has a indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, due to odd smell inside the restaurant. Staff was friendly but food was disappointing. Steam veggies had no taste, and steak had a odd taste not sure it was from the wood fire grill.

Outstanding food in a relaxing environment. We've been visiting this place for years (i.e. before their renovation ~9 years ago). Excellent steak freshly grilled over an open fire. There are Other food options as well, But get some grilled steak and enjoy.

Stopped by for dinner after visiting Giant Sequoia National Park from Arizona. We had a veritable feast of delicious food here-- lots of southwestern cuisine and the meats! I had a Sequoia Burger, onion rings, and rootbeer float (which was great after a hot day in the Sierra Nevadas) and it was SOooOoOoOo good! The fare is a little pricey, but the portions are HUGE-- so if you share a meal with a friend it actually is very reasonable. The food was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. Best of all, it was like finding a hidden gem of a restaurant. Fast & friendly service, good food, and full tummies-- what more could you ask for? Yum! So if you've the appetite of a bear after a day of hiking, it's a great place to stop for a bite on your way back to civilization.
