The service at this place is impeccable! I love the decor with the succulent walls everywhere. This time I tried the Mexican pizza with the grilled chicken instead of ground beef and it was a great pick. The hubby got the Camarones Diablo and loved it. My oldest went with the asada tacos del carbon and my youngest got the dry bean and cheese burrito and everyone left satisfied! Im really beginning to love this place. If the service stays great, I will continue to come back.

I get so tired of battling to get an order the way I would like it.It is not worth it.I have shadowed their front door for the very last time.

Plenty of parking , greeted with a big smile and welcome in when I walked through the door. I like trying new places and for me to return to a restaurant really says something about their food . The bar was packed being a Friday night . Plenty of laughs and music coming from the bar area, there were people eating in the bar area , With in 3 minutes chips and salsa arrived and I ordered an ice tea. The Mexican music was at just the right volume to set the mood, you feel like getting up and dancing. I ordered the chicken taco and chicken enchilada with rice and beans, also a side of flour tortillas, they are home made here!! The paintings and decor are interesting enough that the 10 minutes it took to get my food wizzed right by. The folks next to me ordered the fajitas and the sizzle and fresh smell made my stomach rumble.When my plate came it was piping hot and looked great, the chicken was tender and the sauce was not too spicy. The enchilada sauce was a tomato based sauce that was good . The refried beans tasted home made and the rice was really good , let's not forget the home made tortillas, yum!!!If your on this side of town it's a good option, recommend

Señor Pepes is the Bedt Mexican food in Bakersfield Ca. My family and I have been coming here for over 30 years . We have celebrated almost every celebration in our families lives from Baby showers to birthdays etc. The owners are very kind. People, the Service is Great. You must come and try it.The ambience is good . But above all the food is amazing must try .

All the food was bomb! My enchiladas, rice, and beans were soooo good. The salsa was exactly how I liked it. Their chips were also very crispy and delicious. Their michelada was pretty good, but their strawberry margarita was too strong for my liking, I couldn't finish it. Tables felt kinda small, and with all our food, it felt kind of squished. Staff was friendly but not as attentive as I would like. No doubt, when I'm craving enchiladas, yes, I will be returning!

We went to Señor Pepe's on a Saturday night. They were not busy at all. The wait staff was very kind and attentive to us. Although there are very few explicitly vegetarian options on the menu, we asked what they could make for us. Our server was very kind and explained what they could make veggie! We ended up ordering a quasadilla, enchiladas, plantains, and the veggie fajitas. The quesadilla was simple but good, and the fajitas came out sizzling hot! We definitely thought the veggies were a little under-seasoned in both, though. The rice and beans were delicious. The enchiladas were good too, but the sauce definitely tasted like a standard jar sauce you would buy at the grocery store. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. Loved the red booths. Overall we had a pretty good experience here, but Bakersfield definitely has better options for Mexican food

Dion B. Server was fantastic 5 , zero complaints. Food was excellent, homemade tortillas make the meal extra special. Only reason I rate four star is the ambiance. Does not feel like authentic Mexican restaurant. One tweak of dimming the lighten would make all the difference. So bright and cafeteria feeling.

Definitely worth the two hour drive, great food, great service at a great price, it's my third time coming here for their Sunday Brunch buffet and I haven't been to disappointed yet. Will definitely look forward to coming here again at the first chance I get.

Best restaurant ever! I went today afternoon and the hostess girl was so sweet. I think her name was Paula. She had red/ginger hair. i went around 5:30pm and it was kinda busy. The food and service were so good as well.

Sunday brunch is amazing with an awesome variety to choose from..strongly recommend to check it out. Prices are reasonable for what's offered. Best omelette station in town, thanks Alonzo.
