Self Serve Pet Spa

My fur babies are boujee. Which is crazy, since they are both rescues. Turns out, they are both severely allergic to lots of general ingredients that you typically find in most dog foods. Self-serve pet spa has been a godsend. Prior to having them do an allergy test, they were both breaking out, had rashes and skin conditions. After switching foods , they have had zero issues for 5 years!! Food is always in stock. They have a cool loyalty program where after so many, one bag is free (after paying taxes). The food is more expensive, but it alleviates all the allergy,skin issues, and vet visit costs so in the long run it is actually cheaper.

Super friendly staff... Easy in and out, lots of options with shampoo, conditioner, and sents... Also, lots of food, treats, and toy options Took our, 70 pound German shepherd, who loved every second... Super happy dog

I always enjoy taking Dory for her bath the store is always clean the owners are friendly & the store is always well stocked

This is the second time Abby has been to the spa. Her regular groomer couldn't make it recently so she took off for the spa. This is a nice set up and inexpensive and much easier to accommodate a dog then bathing them in your own sink or bathtub. I appreciate how clean and accessible everything is and it's not too far from my home. Abby says she will be back in the future.

This place is great! Amy and David and their staff are so nice and helpful. It,s clean and you don't have to break your back or clean up a mess. You accumulate points for free washes, food etc. and they add up fast. They have the best food ,treats,shampoos and other products. Our dogs love they,re decorated cookies so I get them each one for their birthdays and sometimes other holidays. Kathy DeFede

I recently started volunteering with Kern County Animal Services and have been participating in their Streets of Bakersfield program. Every other Saturday, they allow you to foster a dog for the day. This is perfect for helping to socialize the dogs and give them a day off from being at the shelter. This is also great for anyone thinking about getting a dog but not ready to commit or someone like me that can't have a dog due to unreasonable landlords or small living spaces. I was told that one place I could take the dogs was the groomers. I looked up a place where they let you wash your own dog and this spot came up with great reviews. I didn't realize they already had an existing deal with KCAS and the wash is free for those participating in the program. I brought in a three year old German Shepard and got the regular wash and added the de shedding treatment. It was my first time at one of these wash spots and the staff was super sweet and helpful. They helped me get the dog up into the tub and explained the order to use the products and how to protect the dogs eyes. They also helped me get the special lead on the dog so he wouldn't just jump out of the tub. The equipment was easy to use. The water was the perfect temperature. They even had a waterproof apron for me to use so I wouldn't get my clothes too wet. The staff was helpful and made me feel comfortable and confident that I could do the wash alone and I didn't feel rushed. Towards the end I was offered an extra towel since the dog was bigger and they anticipated that I'd need an extra towel. They thought of everything!I really enjoyed my dog washing experience and it was as nice to know they partner with the shelter for the streets of Bakersfield program. I found out that the dog was adopted and I'm sure the bath helped. I look forward to when I can have my own dog and I'll definitely be coming back here for bath time.

I love self serve pet spa! Both locations are great.They have a large variety of dog food and all dog accessories you can think of. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town for all my dog needs!

I visited this place , and it was an absolute game-changer for me and my 4 month old pup ! The facility was clean, well-organized, and stocked with everything needed for a thorough grooming session, from shampoos and brushes to towels and dryers. The self-service stations were spacious and easy to use, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing guidance and making sure we had everything we needed. I will for-sure be coming back!

Workers were so friendly and the wash caddy included so many items like ear wash, face wash and such. Very clean environment as well
