Savannah's Old Town Saloon

I'm new to Tehachapi and I like to dance, so as I heard that they have live music, I drove out to Old Town to check it out. It was closed, but I was able to look through the windows, and I didn't see a dance floor anywhere. Lots of pool tables and it definitely looks like a biker bar. Not saying that's a bad thing, just that it's not for a 74 year-old woman just looking to go out and listen to music and dance a little bit. I'm not going to give this a bad review just because it's not for me, but I thought I'd just share this information.

Came here back in May this year. Loved the place. We came back again this evening after wine tasting and dinner to a horrible experience. The bartender literally ignored us for almost 20 minutes. Even after telling me "give me just a second". The place wasn't even busy. She was too busy hanging out and serving her friends. Ended up driving a few hundred yards away to P Dubs. 20 times the amount of people, yet amazing service. Thankfully Tehachapi has good pizza, TK pizza. Amazing wineries like Triassic and Wine and Cattle company.Savannahs I'll definitely pass on in the future.

I had stopped in this bar, seven years ago, and was surprised by all the upgrades and improvements. It's a local dive bar that has gotten a lot of upgrades. Is beautiful inside and out. The drinks here, or twice the size of other more corporate bars in the area and they pour them like they mean it! Friendly professional staff, who helped with advice on things to do in town. I would highly recommend this for cocktailing and relaxing.

Cool location. Nice bartender, but can't make an Old Fashioned and at $16 a pop I expect a decent drink. Like the beer garden vibe with cornhole games. Wish I had a cigar with me!

Some of the bartenders are rude. Demanding a $10 tip on a drink that too 25 min to make but love the taco lady they have . And the drink specials are cool especially the vip/DJ area

We broke down on Highway 58 and had to spend a night in Tehachapi for repairs. Down the street from the mechanic was this cool looking saloon that the mechanic recommended we check out. I couldn't have been more impressed. It's clean, the staff is cool, the drinks are cold, and it's literally everything one could want in a bar/pub/saloon. Check it out for yourselves. I attached plenty of photos. I was fortunate to come early enough in the day that we got to hang out with Cliff, the owner, and overall it was just an excellent experience. I lived in Bakersfield for 5 years and wish I'd known about it then. You will NOT be disappointed.

Cool place to hang out for a cold one. They have liquor as well. Pool tables and an AMI jukebox make it a top notch hangout. The service by Jasmine was very good.

*NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR WOMEN* Do not come to this bar if you care about your safety and comfort. It is not a woman friendly place. 3 out of 4 of the bar tenders are extremely rude, not attentive and some of them up charge A LOT if you're paying cash so pay attention to what you're buying and make sure the prices are consistent. A drunk kid came over to our table and said he was going to **** one of our wives and called us f****ts. We told him to leave repeatedly and he didn't listen. Bouncers didn't care. Do not come here if you're a woman or if you're a man who cares about keeping your woman safe. There is no help for you here WHEN things go bad. This is not the first time a woman has been threatened with r**e at this establishment! It seems to attract the worst of people. NOT SAFE OR FRIENDLY.

Tonight at Savannah's, September 7th, I encountered the rudest bartender. At the bar I asked for a Budweiser. I was asked for an ID. My Military ID, was scanned and photographed. Extremely unusual. She brought my Bud, I gave a $20. Received $13.50. Hummmm. That's expensive. I asked her, how much was the beer. She said, $6.50. I said that is high...a beer at the VFW is only $3.00. She said, "then go to the VFW." Wow. I walked away to the outside area, only to be followed by her, as she went to security and said, I was, 1. Rude. 2. Screaming at her. Another Wow is appropiriate. I said I asked what the price of the beer was.. I was not screaming. She said yes you were. So this pretty face.. of a bartender, is accusing me of screaming at her. Sitting at the bar was a guy about 30 yo. I said lets ask him, as I was standing next to him as I talked to her. I said, did you hear me screaming? He said, I dont know, I wasn't paying attention. If someone is screaming, he would have noticied..there was no screaming..she was lying. I was then told, by security, the bartenders word is gold... drink your beer and you are out of here.... I took my beer.. gave it back.. walked out... The worst experience in Tehachapi I have encountered in the year being here. Your bartender lied. Pure and simple. Needless to say, I will never come back to this place.

Top notch. Safe, friendly.Bartender/Mgr. Valerie takes her job seriously and is a delight. You want it, they've got it! Pool tables, corn hole, darts.Great drinks. Next time will eat there. Fantastic outdoor seating,and entertainment! No matter your age you are welcomed fora long or short night out in ourlow-key town. Big thanks to the owner for providing a safe, comfortable well managed business.
