Saigon Bento

The food from this place is pretty amazing. The soup from the pho is so flavorful. I didn't expect a lot of flavor from the beef rib since it looks like a regular soup bone, but boy is it good. also, most pho places doesn't offer the wide flat noodles and display does! Pretty spacious and surprisingly modern for Bakersfield. The store has modern Vietnamese art hung up inside and it even has a robot that serves the milk tea drinks to the patrons. The service was nice and welcoming.The vermicelli bowl was good. The fish sauce could be a bit more tastier but the meal was still enjoyable. The strawberry mango sunrise drink was a bit disappointing. There was too much purée and the base drink was a bit bland.

My sister took me out for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The pho tasted great! The place is nice and clean. Service was good, there was only one person on the floor but he tried his best to get us everything we needed. The menu is kept simple with great choices. I would recommend and return :)

Beef pho with meatballs and triple combo vermicelli delicious! Loved the robot. Went twice during our trip. Nice seating area for photo ops. Art on walls lovely.

Service was good. We asked for extra meat which was 4$ extra but barely got any. Too pricey. The ambiance is nice.

Tried Saigon Bento for the first time today. I can't say much about service since we placed our own order on a kiosk and a robot brought us our food (except for the phõ). I ordered chicken pho, and it was a little spicy, which I was not expecting. But still was very good phõ. My husband got their only bento option, which was like $18. I was a little hesitant but had high hopes. In the end it was 4 small ribs (see pic), although my husband said they were really good. Overall, food was good, but $37 for a bowl of pho and bento box only seemed a little pricey IMO. Honestly I think I'd rather have Soy and Spice down the street.

I would have given them a 5 review for the food and service but they do not have sugar for the iced tea

I'm not one to take pictures before I eat so my apologies! I ended up taking pictures of our finished meal.The pork chop was the most tender I have ever eaten and with flavorful marination that was not overpowering.The Jurassic Pho had a rich soup base that was delicious and comforting.Everything was delicious and very enjoyable!The owner was friendly and very inviting! We will be back whenever in the area of Bakersfield.

As most of my pho excursions are based on, this visit was nothing different than an urge to satisfy a deep craving for something hot and soupy after a night of taking one too many shots. Saigon Bento is the closest to my house so away we go.This spot occupies the old Pho-Vy 2 restaurant. I never got the chance to try Saigon Bento when it first opened at their old location. The restaurant is spacious and immediately you're eyes are drawn to the left where they have a groovy couch for when waiting for your boba or take out orders. We sat where we liked and immediately, the owner came to greet us with the menus. We opted for the grilled beef and shrimp vermicelli bowl and the pho with the inconspicuous beef bone. The broth was good and aromatic but my only gripe was the broth was not hot enough. It was lukewarm before it got to our table and possible because it was delivered to us by the robot. So imagine my slight disappointment with my need only being half met. The vermicelli bowl was good and passed my test.

Food was very good but it took FOREVER to come out. The service sucked like very bad and he kept forgetting what we ordered and came back to ask was again. Drinks came out after we were all done eating. Power went out. Their machine robot also made glass break. Not so good and they serve big tables last even if they were here first. Not coming again for service but for food i will.
