Rusty's Pizza Parlor

Giving it 2-stars only because for Lamont, Rusty's actually isn't too bad. Their daily lunch combos are a good bargain especially with a limited selection of lunch venues in this area. The service can definitely be improved. A lot of places are short-staffed but particularly today, the gal said they were under staffed. My friend and I ordered the lunch special with the side salad bar. While we got our plates, the salad bar was still empty and nowhere near close to being stocked.I saw three able-bodied workers in the store. Why give a me a salad plate with no rushed intent on making sure the bar was ready for customers? We ended up swapping out the salad for some potato wedges to give the staff relief. The wedges were kinda weak, could've definitely used a couple more minutes in the fryer for more crisp. The pan pizzas finally came out from the oven. They were hot and quite satisfying. I usually get the thin pan, with ham, pineapples and jalapeños. And yes, pineapples belong on pizza. Make sure you get the lunch card so you get a free lunch after so many stamps.

We called in and ordered one large pizza, wedges and fried chicken. We we're told it would be ready in 20 minutes... We have waited for 54 minutes and finally we asked and their excuse was there is only one fryer. The crew seems super lazy and did not acknowledge us until about 7 minutes of standing there while they were talking and laughing and would ignore our presence while we stood there. Nothing has been started. They asked if we wanted them to start the pizza and I said of course??? We are on lunch break !! not coming back worst Rusty's in the area.

Overpriced for bad quality, bad tasting pizza. First off let's just get out of the way how expensive Rusty's is. It's actually unbelievable people still pay the prices. There is no flavor in any of the food. The pizza is bland and boring. The sauce has no flavor or seasoning. The wedges don't taste fresh or even seasoned at all. If you ever get the fried chicken just be prepared for a greasy mess. There are really only two options for pizza in lamont which sucks. But going forward I'll either choose Little Caesars or a frozen pizza.

Big fan of rustys in Bakersfield! However the rules are different in Lamont (according to the answering service who takes call-in orders). The staff in Lamont are very friendly and I am satisfied with their delivery service as well. Make sure you include peppers and cheese in you order because it will not come with the delivery guy/gal. And please tip them! It's usually a toss up on the quality of pizza, some days it's incredible, others it is over/under cooked, in which I end up using a the competitor for a while until I get over it. Not much options in Lamont.My only gripe is the fact that I can't substitute blue cheese for my hot wings for the ranch that comes with the order. I had to pay more for blue cheese but still got a ranch (absolutely hate ranch with hot wings). I hope the management gets this to see that people should be allowed options when it comes to dipping sauce and it should not come at an extra price.

Pizza was good they got two stars for that .Chicken was terrible it was overly cooked it was dried out there wasn't much flavor to it it's supposed to be crunchy but it was just burned worst ever. But I'm not a unfair person so I'm gonna try them again

Great lunch specials! The pizza comes out fast and the salad bar has a lot of fresh toppings.

Absolutely fantastic pizza and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cold beer! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a chilled atmosphere!

Walked in to the restaurant and there were no customers sitting down. A to-go order left as I arrived. The tables didn't look like they had been cleaned from the night before, the plexi glass screen by the registers was dirty as was the glass by the salad bar. There was something red and dried smeared on the salad bar counter. This was at 11:20am, well before the lunch crowd. Without a lot of other options in Lamont, I may give them another chance if they "clean up their act".

I ordered a Chile verde pizza and am trying to find any Chile verde toppings on my pizza. Looks more like a cheese pizza with specks of sausage. Where's the Chile verde? Never again.

This place used to be called Lenny's Pizza, which was the best pizza in Lamont, if you ask me. Anyways, the business got sold to Rusty's a few years ago. The staff at Rusty's is great. Always nice & friendly. Here's a tip: this Rusty's location has the 'Lenny's Special' where they will make the pizza with a thin, crunchy (a good crunch) crust. If that makes any sense.
