It had been a few years since visiting Rosemarys. Their turkey sandwhich was delicious, the turkey tasted fresh and I loved their bread. It didn't have cheese but it didn't need it and next time I will ask for extra mayo. Their black and white was good, it came with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, their marshmallow cream, whip cream and nuts but personally I like Dewars's black and white better. I asked for extra nuts and the nut taste balanced the sweetness. Their hot fudge was SWEET, no surprise but my older daughter got the choclate chip with ice cream sandwhich and it was smothered with hot fudge and it was too sweet for my taste. My younger daughter loved her root beer float! I do gotta mention, their portion servings are great!!!Our waitress was so sweet, very attentive but not too much. This is a wonderful place for lunch and dessert!

Rosemary's is the best place to get ice cream sundaes in Bakersfield. They have an excellent variety of ice cream they make themselves and if you want a sundae that's not on the menu. They'll gladly make it for you! They have good sandwiches, as well, if you're hungry for lunch.

My boyfriend and I had a late night craving, so we decided to go and get ice cream to-go. I ordered the Stacy's red and white (or maybe it's Tracy's) and it was delicious! My boyfriend ordered a strawberry and he enjoyed his. The service was surprisingly fast and probably only waited for approximately two minutes.

We absolutely love this place. The ice cream is outstanding and service is too. We always get the same things because those are our favorites. It can get loud but it's not loud enough that you can't hear your conversations. Staff is really friendly and know the menu very well.

Last night we opted for Dessert instead of a heavy dinner! Richard enjoyed a Hot Fudge Sundae while I REALLY enjoyed a delightful Andy's Special. Oops forgot to take a photo of my treat‼Not a lot of people, as it was early on a cold Tuesday evening. But as we were leaving the crowd was starting to file in. Two birthday parties and a handful of private tables.

After dinner at Rosa's Italian we were drawn to Rosemary's for dessert. Classic old town Bakersfield with group photos of staff that go back decades adorn the walls. Service is always accommodating - we were quickly seated and provided water and menus. We split Kelly's Tin Roof, Vanilla Ice Cream topped with a rich whipped cream and candied cherry. The ice cream is the best in town IMO, but the salted peanuts and Rosemary's signature hot fudge sauce makes the Tin Roof a memorable experience. While portions are substantial, we couldn't help but scrape every last bit of yummy fudge from the carafe.

DOS: 5/23/2025Food: Ordered the Tom's Strawberry Shortcake. This was the absolute worst one I've had from this place and will probably be the last time I visit. In the past, the shortcakes were served with light, soft golden brown cakes. The last two times I was given white, hard, crispy cakes which are gross. The 2nd cake I couldn't even get my spoon through as it was so hard. Additionally, this one had hardly any strawberries! I counted at most 6 little pieces of Strawberry. Service: Our waiter was nice and attentive. The older lady who works the register is not very friendly and didn't seem to believe me that the cakes were not good. She simply said, "they are usually delicious." I told her I know that's why I ordered it. Nevertheless she didn't seem too concerned or willing to at the minimum apologize, or at most not charge me or give me a discount.

Came here with a friend and we got seated and served quickly. Portion size was more than I thought it would be; which is not a complaint haha. The restaurant was nicely decorated and I love the theme they have going on. Would come here again if near the area.
