Rio Açai Bowls

It's safe to say I'm obsessed. Seeing as I came back for this acai smoothie just two weeks later, it's evident that I'm a huge fan. Friendly and fast service as usual! It wasn't too busy, but this time I sat more towards the back of the store. I noticed that the bottom of the chairs are sagging. Though it doesn't impact the cool atmosphere of Rio, I couldn't unsee what has been seen. Despite this, there's plenty of seating options in the store if you wanna sip a yummy smoothie with friends or solo! I'll probably be back in another two weeks.

As far as acai bowls, Rio and Cafe Tori hold the gold medal. Since I have recently moved across town and away from my regular spot (Cafe Tori) I have been visiting Rio & am very enamored. The acai here tastes right on point. Its sweet and smooth and the toppings are always fantastically fresh. I often add more and more toppings and cannot recommend this enough- the more the merrier, for real. Hemp seeds and bee pollen are my newest favorite toppings ..ooo! also goji berries! I have ordered from another spot recently which only made the quality, taste, and value of Rio stand out as vastly superior. Don't get me wrong, these bowls aren't exactly cheap, but they are packed full of goodness for your body and you can count on the fact that Rio won't skimp on your ordered ingredients here at this wonderful establishment. Rio Açai is my favorite in Bakersfield! Always fresh, sweet, delicious. Prices have unfortunately increased , since the last time I've been here. I get it though, everything has skyrocketed. Staff worker was friendly and talkative while preparing our Açai. The inside is very clean .... And cozy if wanting to hang out for a bit and eat inside. ** if you check in on yelp , you get a free topping **

We come here all the time and have never had an issue until today! My wife ordered a large and it wasn't even full and it was the messiest made bowl we've ever received! My small down was equivalent to her large!

I can't say enough good things about this place and the quality of food items they serve. I used to drive from Delano at least once a week to get the best açaí bowl in Kern county. COVID hit and I had to give up one of my favorite indulgences. I excitedly made my way over three times in the past couple of weeks. I always get the paleo, it has tons of good stuff, but the almond butter mixed with the banana is my favorite. Staff is on top of their game, fast and welcoming. There are lots of places to sit and some cool photos on the wall. Their reward program is awesome! I earned enough "points," to get my last bowl for 0.50. If you like açaí and haven't tried this place! You are missing out!

I use to come and grab an Acai bowl at least once a week but I haven't in awhile so today I decided to surprise my daughter and take her for one! They're a bit more pricey than they were last year but isn't everything?! These things are absolutely delicious...and just like that we'll be back to weekly visits!

The best acai bowls in town, HANDS DOWN!This spot is my family's go-to when we're craving both poke and acai bowls. It's honestly the perfect combination.I especially love that the poke bowls have a good balance of poke to rice. The food and service is always consistently good here and that's hard to find nowadays!

UPDATE: All of the below is still true but the prices have gone up at least $4-5 and now I definitely don't stop by as much because of the price increase. Not gonna lie I would probably buy all the ingredients myself which would last a while rather then pay $15 for one I really love this place it's just SO expensive and I do understand that everything has gone up but it's just not financially sustainable anymore.

Delicious açai and fresh poke! Little sister and I came for an afternoon snack on a hot day. The staff is lovely and patient while the environment is comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. Already anticipating another visit!

Good customer service but every once and awhile I get a medium kimchi poke side with a side of spicy mayo and the rice is burnt and overcooked:/ I really like this place but the poke bowls are going down hill....
