I ate here years ago and my food was disgusting. Despite this, I always believe in giving places a second chance before writing a bad review. I walk in today at 6pm and an employee tells me I am "too late". Yelp says they close today at 7pm. I'm not sure why I was turned away at 6pm. The irony is I wanted only side dishes which usually only require reheating. That wasn't even offered.It's really sad when you want to support local AV businesses especially the rare Black-owned business but I will take my dollars elsewhere.

I came here on a Thursday at 6PM, right before closing time and it was basically empty. The interior is very well decorated and I liked the vibes. I ordered a Randy's best to go. I believe that they give you multiple meat options and I chose to get 3 wings. It is a bit confusing how this combo works since there are variations to it. They told me that it would take 15 minutes for my order to be ready, so it's probably a good idea to order ahead of time. Anyways, the food ended up pretty good. The waffle tasted like it was made of whole wheat for some reason. The skin on the chicken was crispy like a potato chip. It's very different from KFC or Popeyes. It's well cooked, not dry, and the meat slides ride off the bone. The combo also came with some butter and hot sauce.Overall this was a good and comfy meal.

I will not add my negative experience, let'sJust say I read the reviews and the 3 stars prior to going to the establishment. At this point they know exactly what they are doing and what's being done wrong FIXIT

Well this was our first time and will be our last. The Shrimp and Grits was good. The waffle was tasteless and soggy. 3 oxtails in the dinner plate. We saw pictures on instagram and none of our food looked like it was presented. That is just unacceptable for the price. Very disappointed . Only had two people working on a Saturday so it took forever to get our food.

I'm updating my review after my second time visiting here. It's still great chicken - but just wanted to highlight that the fried chicken that comes with the chicken dinner is much smaller than the pieces of chicken that come with the "chicken and waffles." The lobster gumbo fries are great as always, and come in a GIANT portion!Also, service can be slow since this is a small business, so be sure to allocate plenty of time to get your food. The business owner is nice and pleasant as always, but the other guy working the front desk can be a little short or curt.

I've had the food here b4 and it was good .yesterday Oct.sat 26,2024 the 2 pork chops dinner I paid $39 was not worth it the batter was a shrimp fried batter ,not good i was so disappointed and I called to let them know the food was Trash ,never will I get here again the hot sauce spilled inside packed Upside inside the container of food ,all them stems inside the greens

The food is decent but everytime I've came inside the restaurant it is visibly dirty like they haven't swept the floors or wiped the tables in months. It's every single time I come inside; make me wonder what the kitchen truly looks like.

The food is amazing!! We ordered the gumbo burrito, omelette & fried shrimp & being foodies we were very pleased! On top of the great food the owner was a sweetheart! Made sure to check on us & even brought us a free sample of the peach cobbler fresh out the over which I will definitely be ordering next time it was insane!!! There is a sign at the register to remind you that they cook to order so be patient when going the food is most definitely worth it!

Freshly made to order real soul food every single time. Randy's is our absolute favorite for Fried Chicken collard greens beans and rice mac & cheese oxtails... everything on the menu is delicious.
