Primo Burgers

I always get the pastrami sandwich with zucchini sticks. It's always hot and fresh!Services is good, the lady who's always there is very nice. The inside is cool. Older classic type inside.

I love this place! It's a great casual spot for delicious food and desirable prices. Primo Burgers in downtown has a variety of dishes (American, Mexican and even Greek). Those breakfast burritos are the best in town. YUMMY!

I love their food and great serves...I go there all the time. It family friendly, clean close to everything in Tehachapi...

I'm a Burger guy and I had heard a lot of good things about Primos. My wife and I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was empty, service was good it's a great atmosphere depending on your likes. We ordered a couple burgers. The restaurant was so cold by the time our burgers got to the table they were already cooling down. I got Steak fries with my order and they were great my wife got the onion rings super crunchy my wife liked them and I thought they were pretty tasty as well . Back to the burger... thin patty not great flavor thankfully I got bacon on mine so that helped. Over all I liked the restaurant and the service and the sides were good but the burger is not worth the price. IMO

AWESOME!This is the place that fell off my radar, unglamorous but Big in mouth-watering food. I'm in town briefly, It was open on New Year's Eve which I am grateful for. They offer comfort food at an affordable price that doesn't break the bank a crowd pleaser I adore a delicious spicy Pastrami! especially American Jewish hot pastrami. Since those are unicorns herein on the west coast. A hot one from a burger joint when you find one you put a pin on the map My husband got a burger that appears to weigh a pound along with some fat mound of fries good stop for all

$50.16 for 3 breakfast burritos and a side of fries. Way too much. Plus the burrito was filled mostly with potatoes!

I posted this review on Google and I'm reposting it here.I've been a customer of this Primo's for almost 15 years. Every Saturday, like clockwork, I call and order a sausage breakfast burrito to go. I get there ten minutes later, and they usually have it ready, or maybe a short wait. It's never a problem.The counter staff has always been incredibly nice to me, and we often chat and joke while I pay for my food.Today I ordered over the phone my burrito to go, came in a few minutes later, paid for my food and stood to one side to wait for it to be finished, about 5 feet back from the PICK UP window on the left. The place was empty except for a few people at one booth.I'm standing by the menus on the wall, reading them, and the cook steps to the window and gruffly asks, "What are you doing there?"He was someone I'd not seen there before. I usually recognize the cooks. I said, "Just waiting for my food.""Well, you need to go sit down.""I'm getting the order to go, so I figure it's easier just to wait near the window. It's no problem.""No, you HAVE to sit down." he actually points to the booths like a school teacher."I'd just like to stand, I sit a lot all day." I replied, keeping my tone calm."I'm telling you to SIT OVER THERE!" he says."What's the problem? I always stand when I'm about to get my order, there's never been an issue. This is the Pick Up window. I ordered my food To Go."Well, he told me to leave and he made the counter lady, who looked ashamed, give me a refund. I said, "I'm going to speak to the owner about this. I've been a good customer for almost 15 years."He smirked and said something that sounded like, "Yeah, good luck with that."If the owner of Tehachapi Primo's reads this, know that as a town local, I've been enjoying your burritos and sometimes onion rings on an almost weekly basis since 2008. Your staff has ALWAYS been fun, friendly, and good at their jobs.I have no idea what this cook's problem was, and I tried repeatedly to ask him why he was throwing me out. He refused to answer and just smirked at me.I have never said this before, but he needs to be fired. He's losing you customers, such as this one. The wife and I thought we should try some where new to eat, big mistake. We walked into the restaurant and the place was completely empty. The server looked like she was having her lunch break in one of the booths. She had to get up during her break to take our order. My wife ordered the mushroom burger with fries and I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast plate. The burger was really thin and tasted weird. The chicken fried steak seemed like it was just fried crunchy batter with no meat at all. The hash browns were way undercooked and the ice tea had a bad metallic flavor to it. The Ambiance was nice but there were quite a few tables that had left over plates from customers still left on them. All the tables were dirty, we had to wipe down the one we chose to eat at. All in all, the place seemed nice but the food was not enjoyable at all. My stomach and toilet hated me a short time later after eating there. Go at your own risk.

The food and service were good. I liked the portion sizes and that they used pepsi products for the soda machine. The dining area is a bit dated, and the restrooms didn't look good.

I got the steak dinner. It was disgusting. The steak was thin, about a quarter of an inch thick, gray without any grill marks and mostly fat. I took 3 bites and then gave it to my dog who will eat anything. The dinner came with greasy French fries, fried zucchini spears and French-fried onion rings. Service was okay. No ambiance. I won't be eating there again.
