Poke Land - Bakersfield

Quick spot to eat a fresh poke bowl of your liking. I go for the small bowl with two scoops of salmon, white steam rice as my base with house sauce and spicy mayo, for my sides I like it fresh with cucumbers, crabmeat, and avocado. Adding seaweed salad , green onions, edamame, ginger and Masago with an extra scoop of spicy crabmeat 10/10 recommendService is excellent and friendlyAmbiance is clean & top 10 radio hits non stop10/10 will come back

I came here after seeing the good reviews and wanted to give it a try since we have a favorite poke spot in Palmdale and wanted to compare. Unfortunately, there was no comparison. Maybe it was just an off day, but I won't be coming back because the poke in Palmdale is simply unbeatable. The protein portions were small, and the scallops didn't seem fresh; I thought it might be just me, but my husband agreed they tasted off. They replaced the scallops with spicy crab, but we were still disappointed. The only redeeming factor was the friendly staff member who helped us. Even my husband, who's usually easy to please, was not happy with the meal.11/12/24

This is my second time visiting Poké Land and it won't be my last. I ordered a small bowl and it was extremely filling. Poké Land has fresh ingredients and super fast service. Seating options are a little awkward if you're dining alone or with a friend because tables are for 4+ people. It would be convenient to have bar stools, but most people order to-go anyways. Such a great experience. I feel like I'd come here more often if the parking lot wasn't so crowded.

Walked in at 5pm on Saturday and there was no line, was greeted promptly and they put together my order very fast. Restaurant was clean and had a few tables for seating. With a drink, my regular poke bowl was about $17 and the total got to about $20 with tip. It was very fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna as my fish choices and I loved the crab meat, avocado, and cucumber, it really felt like a deconstructed sushi roll which I know is the whole concept lol but still great to match the taste with the concept and say it was successful! My only note is the soda options.. they just didn't hit, i settled for a sprite or whatever the clear soda is called these days, i feel uppity with my soda expectations. most places these days have agua Frescas and other craft soda options. I should have looked at the selection before buying a cup. Now I know for next time.

Okay so I have been coming more lately and I would like to update my review to 4/5 stars. The quality is fresh and their sauces have great flavor. I love the wanton chips and all the yummy toppings. They have improved their quality!

After seeing the positive reviews, Poke Land seemed promising, but boy was I wrong. I ordered a build your own regular bowl, which comes with three scoops of fish. For protein, I opted for all salmon, but what I got was no more than one scoop of salmon if that. The tray of rice was spaced out and not even full. Rice was hard and lumpy and the fish was cut into such small pieces. Also, the salmon did not look fresh at all. I placed my order online and had arrived well after the time that was listed for picking up the order only to find out it was not even ready or made yet. For almost $20 I got very skimpy portions with fried onion sprinkled out to make it seem like there's a decent amount, but if you look at the bowl you will see how it's not full. The bowl had no taste or flavor and there was little to no sauce at all. It felt like I was eating plain tasteless fish with white rice. Even with the skimped out rice, I ended up finishing all of the salmon and still had plain white rice left. Wanted to like this place, but I think I'll just stick with my usual go to spots for poke in SoCal. At least I know I'll get what I paid for along with high quality taste. Of all places I came across this one, but never again.

Love this place for fast poké! The staff is always so prompt and friendly. The fish always tastes so fresh, my favorite is salmon and shrimp! The have a fully customizable bowl, you pick your base, proteins, fillings, and topping!

I hate writing this review but tonight my significant other and I just threw away our entire meals after spending almost $40-50. We were both super excited to have poke but after a few bites of our meal from Poke Land we both couldn't eat any more of dishes and off they went to the trash. Our meals didn't seem fresh and just tasted "off". We both love poke and know what it should taste like and let me tell you... both our meals were not bearable. We both are praying we don't get sick. I don't think we will be back purchasing any meals from Poke Land.On a positive note, my significant other redeemed our dinner by making us some macaroni and cheese.

Great customer service everytime I go with my family. Food is always fresh and really good. Good spot to eat inside and they have a patio too that's pretty nice when the weather is good. Wildfire and spicy mayo is a great combo of sauce to try if you've never been here before.
