I came here with my dad and daughter. Let me first say I don't like seafood but I tagged along anyway. They both loved the food, they got crab legs , it came in a bag with a corn and potato. It was pricey ...about $100 (tip included) $89 without tip. But they said they will definitely be back. Our waitress was great, I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because the layout isn't that great. This place used to be Famous Dave's and it had a much homier feel to it. This place could use a nice face lift.

Over priced and horrible quality might as well take the drive to burbank for boiling crab!!!Service was bad as well server was not present most of the time ... Food also had a really fishy taste like they rushed the cooking ..

Service was decent and food was good! Definitely a better bang for your buck compared to competitors across the "street". The fried fish plate wasn't the best, but we came for the seafood boil bag which was a hit! So I can't complain. Would return ! There can be a bit of a wait, but food is worth it.

This place used to be famous Dave's years back. Now it is pier 88. First time here since it opened and had great service. Was not crowded around 1pm on a Friday. Interior has a country/shrimp boat feel. Very fitting vibe for a crab boil. There were plenty of options for seafood but my dad ordered for me since they frequently visit here. We each had the signature combo famous low country boil. You're given a bib, gloves, wipes and bucket. Ready for a fun feast. Very filling I only finished half and took the rest home for dinner. Definitely shareable! The food was good. Everything was seasoned really well, sauce was kickin! The shrimp weren't over cooked nice and plump, potatoes steaming hot, juicy corn, sausage had a nice spice. The crab I thought was a a little over salted for my taste. But everything else was tasty. Servers were attentive and friendly four stars for service. I think the crab and pricing could use some adjustments. Nonetheless enjoyable when service is over and beyond expectation. Completely makes the experience that much better. I enjoyed my time here especially because it was with my dad. Enjoyed a good boil.

I recently dined at Pier 88 in Palmdale, and it exceeded all my expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous for the price. The service was impeccable, and I particularly enjoyed the well-priced margaritas, which were only around five dollars when I visited on a Wednesday afternoon. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too busy, making it the perfect spot to unwind. If you find yourself in the Antelope Valley area, I highly recommend checking out Pier 88.

This place is a must-go!! The environment is magical, truly captures how a seafood boil restaurant should be! The food was one of the best boil's I and my family have ever had- and we've had lots! And the service was immaculate!! Our waitress was the absolute best, didn't make us feel rushed and ensured we got everything we ordered! The staff in general was welcoming and kind. Will definitely be going back!!

Hubby and I had a milestone to celebrate on Saturday (8/26/23) and decided to try one of the seafood boil joints in the AV. We are SO glad we chose Pier 88 near the AV Mall!We were greeted upon walking in and were offered a table immediately, or if we wanted to wait just a few minutes they could clean up a booth for us. We didn't even wait 5 minutes. The interior of the restaurant looks so different than their predecessor, "Famous Dave's". They did a nice job converting the layout and decor! The place was clean and well maintained. That's always a huge plus in my book! Now for the food deets: Since it was our first time, we wanted to try "a little of this and that" so we ordered their Famous Low Country Boil to share. At the suggestion of our server Adam, we selected the **88 Special** seasoning, mild. It was SO flavorful, I wanted a straw to slurp the juice from the bag! I resisted the urge and we happily dined on the Shrimp, Crab, Sausage, Corn & Potato. Everything was cooked to perfection! Kudos for not overcooking the crab like so many restaurants do, and they provide metal crackers and a plastic shellfish tool along with bibs, gloves, a pail for the remnants.. they have all the bases covered. We also ordered their Fried Calamari appetizer, requesting the fries be well done. They got the calamari just right! Crispy exterior, tender, no chewy rubber bands.. and the fries were fantastic! Just the right amount for 2 or 3 people to share. We also shared a combo basket from the "Something fried" menu. We enjoyed the catfish and shrimp! Next time I'd like to get the oysters now that I know they can cook seafood properly. We thought we might need to add another order of something, but that combo was pretty generous and we didn't even finish all of the sausage! There wasn't even room for dessert. I took home the bag of juice and sausages, and thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers tossed with cooked pasta for lunch today. Seriously, the flavor is THAT good! If you're looking for something different in the AV, I highly recommend Pier 88. The ambiance, service and food were on point and I can't wait to try some of their other menu offerings! The Po Boys are calling my name.
