Phoville Pho and Grill

SO glad there is a new option in town for Vietnamese food! We've had them twice so far and have enjoyed it! Does it rival little Saigon options, probably not. But is it a good for Bakersfield where we really lack Vietnamese food options? Hell yeahhhh! We have tried the following:Beef pho: generous portions, flavorful and hits the spot!Beef rice plate & pork rice plate: so good! They come on skewers, a side of rice & sweet fish sauce & some daikon + cucumbers. Portions are generous and was such a yummy lunch/dinner option! Eggrolls: not bad but needs some work the wrapper gets so soggy by the time we get home which is like a 15 min drive.Garlic noodles: bomb.com if you love garlic get this! Fried rice: on the blander side but still a yummy buttery fried rice. Nothing alittle chili oil won't fix! Follow them on IG/FB they are running some soft opening specials on right now. They are located in the same parking lot as studio movie grill & offer booth seating! We've only ordered for takeout but everything is always done by the time we arrive & service is friendly!Support Asian owned businesses!

This was our 1st visit and we loved the food. The atmosphere is quiet and very little noise from Crab N spice since Phoville is within the restaurant. Waitress was attentive and nice. The Pho was really good with lots of flavor. We had the Rare steak Pho and Chicken PHo. Both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly.The egg rolls had a lot of filling in them and fried perfectly. We would come back. I would love to try the other dishes they offer. Their menu is a bit small but I feel it's perfect. Definitely need a shrimp Pho on the menu.

I was every disappointed in this restaurant. First when my family and I entered we were told we could not eat in, only takeout because they were trying to save money. But we could sit down at one if the empty tables (we were the only ones there). I probably should have left after this very uninviting welcome. When the order came, we sat down to eat our "takeout". I took a bite out of Vietnamese eggroll that came with lettuce and found dirt all over the lettuce! Called the owner over and he apologized and asked if we wanted something else instead! Had he really been genuine he would have provided a discount, maybe replaced the dish or something more substantial. The rest of the food (pho, rice dish) was salty and not very good. Definitely not returning to this place due to poor service, dirty food and poor quality cuisine.

I soooooo I wanted to like this place when I found out there was another Pho place opening up. We were so excited to see from their Instagram posting that they had the Cornish hens with rice, unfortunately we were soooo sad that they didn't make the red rice with it like you get in Orange county and the SGV area. We got a Pho also and noodles were over cooked and broth did not have any depth in it where it should've had more cooking time and more spices. On a good note, they did provide Thai Basil on the side which I have to say Pho Hut unfortunately (booooooooooo). Staff greeted us when we first came in and was very nice and checked on us a few times.

Apparently this place is closed or something? Was looking forward to trying it out when I was in town and maybe adding it to my curated list of pho restaurants but I guess that's not going to happen ‍

Our family loves Vietnamese food. We were so excited to have a new spot in town and we're thrilled check it out. The actual restaurant facility looked promising. It's a cute spot. As soon as we ordered pho the waitress came back and said they'd run out of steak. That should have been my sign to go ... then we ordered spring rolls and they were loosely wraps with what looked like cocktail shrimp in served in a bed of wet Romain lettuce. Finally to the mail dish... vermicelli with pork. Again wet noodles with tiny pork burnt brinks. Nothing was good. A couple hours later at home my stomach started bubbling and for the next 24 hours it was nothing but and ... never again.

I was excited to try a new pho spot out in town. The spring rolls were good , according to my partner and I loved their Thai tea. However, we didn't enjoy the pho. There wasn't much flavor in it. My steak was good but the broth was lacking. While the customer service was great and the place was very chill, I would wait until this place is open for awhile before trying again.

I was excited to try this new Vietnamese restaurant in town, but the quality of food here was terrible. It was the worst Pho that I've ever tried in my life. The broth tasted so bland and weird, the meat was meh, the herbs were all wrong (why dưa chua? cucumber? cilantro? & no bean sprouts? ...) Basically, it tasted nothing like Pho at all. Ask any Vietnamese person and he/she will be disgusted by this Pho. I left the whole bowl untouched, such a waste of money! Some instant pho brands in the supermarket are even better than this terrible pho ! Also, the other dishes weren't good either, but they were at least edible... Lastly, the menu was full of typo (we should have left the moment we looked at the menu tbh). Please don't eat here and think this is how Vietnamese food taste like :(

My friend and I went there and no one greeted us. We waited and waited and finally they seat us down and they get us our menu. We got our drinks and we waited almost 40 minutes before we got our food and when they got us the food, the food was salty I mean salty salty we ate. We ended up not eating it. We complained and we found out that the cook did not dilute the sauce so he gave us the strong. They get us a big discount I guess that weended up paying only $10 and some change but they said they come back in 2 1/2 weeks when the cook got the menu right but me and my friend said no we're not going back there our stomach herded all day and I we couldn't eat. All we did was drink a lot of water. I will not go back there. Service is not good...

This place is horrible. I ordered through Uber eats and had no problems with the delivery. The food however is a different story. The broth had no flavor and the sprouts were on the verge of being rotten! This is a disgusting place. Save your money and go elsewhere!
