Paradise Cove Lodge

We had passed Paradise Cove multiple times but had never been in. So this past Saturday after being told how wonderful the food was we made a stop. As soon as you walk in it's very charming and a beautiful lake view!Jeffery took the best care of us and the food was spectacular! So much food. All dinners come with a salad, cheese bread and desert. I had the New York Strip and they cooked it perfectly. Def a must if you visit the area!

Even with a completely packed house we had a superb dinner. Amanda is to thank for that. She took care of us. Drinks were brought. Meal was prepared and served nicely and she kept checking up on us. Thank you !

Enjoyed dinner on a Friday night, my Ribeye was cooked perfectly and was so delicious! I loved the option of sweet potatoes - it came with brown sugar and they also brought sour cream, butter and chives for anyone wanting to add that to their regular potato. The side salad was okay, bacon bits and croutons with im not sure what kind of dressing...nice touch with have it served at the table, I ended up with the heart of the lettuce head - which was fine since I didn't eat it all, it was just an okay salad. The cheesecake was so good, love the story behind it. It's a simple sheet cake cheesecake but was delicious. I loved my pomegranate margarita in the rocks with a sugar rim, yum!! Service had its moments - slow but nothing came out wrong. The staff just seemed a little stressed/frazzled. Did the best they could, they were friendly but nothing memorable. The place itself has a lot of history and was decorated in such a cute way. The menus are small paper menus that are folded on the table making it almost look like a name tent! I would eat here again and would recommend it to anyone in the area wanting a good steak!

We had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection! I had heard about this restaurant but had never been. It was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the food, the ambiance and had great food and service. The view was spectacular.

Besides cooking my own steak, this is the place I go to if I want to just relax. I really enjoy their battered shrimp. They're a good decent size, about 3 is enough. When we order about 7 shrimp, they also bring us a salad that simple but yet so good! I usually go with the Surf N Turf. They've substituted my steak with a Prime Rib at an extra charge. The service is usually pretty good, I would give this place 5 starts but I feel a little rushed at times. I'll still continue to come here. Open from 4pm - 830pm.

Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Menu items included various steak and seafood options. Meals included a family style dinner salad with house dressing, cheese bread and dessert.Most at our table selected the catfish dinner, while my grandson has the sirloin steak. The ambiance was beautiful as we ate near sunset and could see an unobstructed view of Lake Isabella through the large row of windows. Our wait staff was punctual and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

My husband's family has properties in Lake Isabella and when we visit a few times a year, eating at the Paradise Cove Lodge IS A MUST! The food is so delicious! I highly recommend the prime rib and their salad is one of my favorites! Simple... but devious. The presentation and the multiple courses are delicious! You can't go wrong with the view at sunset either!

We made reservations and found they allow our pup for a $10 extra which was great. When we arrived at about 3:45pm we went into Motel entrance and there was a sign to ring the bell if the door was closed to the restaurant. We rang twice and no answer both times so I called the main number and Jeff answered and opened the door upstairs. It's a really quaint restaurant and we will come back to try out the restaurant sometime. But we were staying for the nine to visit family in town. We got the key to number 5 which was nice as it had a little grass area for our pup. The room has very old carpet which they need to take out and put laminate. Because of this it has a musty smell. It's spacious enough. Has a frig and coffee maker. I suggest the Red Rooster just down the road for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and we brought an extra blanket as the one on the bed is thin. I'm sure we could have asked for another, but we had it. There is a air conditioner heater that has a constant fan mode which was nice as I like the sound to block out the road noise. The shower worked well and had good pressure. We will probably come stay again here when we visit the family. It was acceptable.

Not a good experience. I checked hours here and it showed open 5:00-8:30 on this last Sunday. Seeing as were driving in from a pretty good distance I called a few minutes after 5 to verify. The phone rang forever and finally was answered by someone who definitely didn't seem to want to answer. I asked how late the restaurant was open tonight and was told 8:30, I said "Thank you, we'll see you a little later". We arrived at 6:30 to a closed restaurant. Ouch. And, I had really played up to my girlfriend what a treat Paradise Cove can be. I hadn't been in years and I won't be returning anytime soon...
