We worked with Janna from OBSE for our Labor Day wedding weekend this year and she did a PHENOMENAL job! We truly had the best wedding weekend that went off without a hitch. We somehow got struck with rainy weather on our wedding weekend (unexpected and unheard of in LA during that time of year) and Janna was calling/texting us promptly as we were deciding if we needed a Plan B. Luckily the weather ended up clearing up during our events, but we so appreciated Janna's willingness to think through other options if needed. She was also extremely responsive, texting or calling back immediately to answer any questions. Our wedding was a multicultural Indian/Jewish wedding with two ceremonies and a complicated timeline of events. My husband and my number one concern was that the timeline would be way off schedule. However, not only was Janna able to make sure all officiants/vendors/guests were on time, we ended up being 2 minutes early on our schedule! We definitely didn't expect that! And the rest of the evening was so perfect, as well. Janna and her team checked in with us throughout the night to make sure my husband and I were well fed, had our signature drinks on hand, and let us know where we were on the timeline. Janna was also able to expertly manage all of our stressed out family members. She patiently answered all of their questions and ensured that their worries were heard and assuaged.We highly highly recommend Janna. She is a natural at event planning and is such a joy to work with!

I choose to inquire with Orange Blossom Special Events because they seemed to have so many raving reviews. Now, I'm not writing to say that they are not wonderful, but I think it's important for others to be aware that maybe you might encounter an unfortunate experience like mine. I originally reached out around April 18/19th and received a reply back in less than 24 hours from Janna Takeyama. (Wonderful! I was so excited!) I wrote her back, thanking her for writing me back and provided her with my availability to discuss working together. Then unfortunately, that is when I was ghosted. I reached out on April 30th stating that first and foremost I hope she was well and okay. Secondly, I stated that due to not receiving any communication, I felt that that this wasn't a company that I felt was a right fit for us. Now, maybe I'm in the minority but I thought maybe I would receive a reply after this email but again... crickets. I never did receive a response. So, all in all, the company was not the right fit for me because I couldn't depend on them to email me back, let alone plan my wedding but for those of you that have had a wonderful experience, I am truly happy that they communicated and worked out for you.

This is a long overdue review for Orange Blossom Special Events! My husband and I just celebrated our two-year anniversary, which got me reminiscing about our wedding day. As tacky and cliched as it sounds, I really wish I could re-live it because it was honestly one of the best days of my life! If you're a bride looking for an event coordinator, look no further! OBSE was one of the recommended vendors for my venue, Smogshoppe. I reached out to the list of recommended wedding coordinators and was contacted by Janna... and she and I just clicked! Janna is sweet, thoughtful, creative, smart, and organized. From start to finish, she felt like a dear friend helping me navigate the stressful world of wedding planning. She has a calm disposition and positive attitude, and was so easy to talk to. I felt like she made wedding planning much more enjoyable and I've always looked forward to catching up with her.On my wedding day, I didn't have to worry about a single thing and felt like a queen. Janna and two other assistants were there and they did an amazing job setting everything up and had really great ideas and added some finishing touches. It's just an indescribable feeling to see all the decorations and flowers all set up. As another reviewer has mentioned, friends and family always tell me the day won't usually go as planned... but everything went SO smoothly! Either that, any issues that came up weren't brought to my attention and fixed immediately! hahaIn the end, you should pick a coordinator you really get along with. I'm so lucky to have met Janna! She really goes above and beyond her duties and she has just the right personality for an event coordinator - she's not too pushy, but knows how to be proactive. I can't express enough how much I really appreciate OBSE and Janna! Thank you so much!

Janna Takeyama was the MOST thoughtful, caring, and organized wedding planner/coordinator, and everything for our wedding weekend was so beautifully executed!! I honestly couldn't have asked for more - our ceremony and reception turned out beautifully. The decor was stunning, even more beautiful than the inspo pics I originally shared with Janna. The guests have continued to comment it was the best wedding they've been to for the attention to detail, delicious food, fun things to do, everything, which is beyond my biggest hope for the day - I owe all this to Janna. The team for the day-of (Brin & Lily) made sure everything was set up exactly as we had talked about, and the aesthetic of how they arranged everything was perfect. The all-important schedule ran on time all day, and even when my new husband and I needed more time to visit tables, the OBE team found a way to get our schedule back on track. If anything went wrong in the setup or during the day, I had no idea; I was relaxed and left to just soak in the day with my new husband, bridesmaids, family and friends.Throughout the process, Janna continually made me feel supported, cared for, and excited. Something that stands out about her is the way she listened to my ideas, and found ways to integrate everything into our vision for the day. She quickly understood from the very beginning what we were going for, and even in the first steps of looking at venues, I could tell that Janna and my fiancé & I were on the same page. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has clearly been doing this for long enough to know what will work and what will not, which vendors will meet your needs/budget/vision for the day. I'm a bit of a type A person (okay a lot type A), and Janna answered every question, text, email, etc from me with so much grace and patience. Our meetings always ran a little long because I always had things to ask her about, and she took care of all of those things seamlessly. There are so. many. details in planning a wedding, and Janna saw to all of them. From inventory lists to the never-ending last minute guest issues, insurance documents to the venue and communicating with vendors, she took care of it all. Janna truly went out of her way throughout the process to give us the best wedding weekend we could have asked for, including driving over an hour so many times to meet us and transport things to the wedding.I cannot recommend Janna enough. From the beginning of this process to the follow up after the wedding, she has been incredibly attentive, responsive, supportive, and someone we knew we could trust. Thank you OBE and Janna!!!

We had a perfect wedding and it was all because of Orange Blossom. They have been our champion over the last 2 years and we could not be more grateful. 2 reschedules and 3 wedding dates over the pandemic and they were with us through it all. Nicole, Brooke, and Christy stayed positive, calm, informative, and really made sure at the end of the day that they are facilitating a human experience.Clarity is king when it comes to planning and they are crystal clear every step of the way. From the first stages with Nicole talking about dates and preferred vendors, they were communicative on every pros and con and helped us build an incredible early plan. When it was clear the pandemic was going to reschedule everything, they jumped right in, made us feel like their only client (even though we're sure they had SO many other folks to deal with), and helped us renegotiate our contracts dates, etc. Then...the pandemic had another surge. And we rescheduled everything all over again. Nicole stayed positive, reaffirmed what's important, and gave us a clear plan. She was truly an inspiration on how a wedding planner can balance professionalism and human connection especially in such a chaotic time in our lives.Christy's designs absolutely blew us away. From the overall aesthetic palette to the stationary to the day-of signage and everything in between, we were blown away. Most importantly, her designs felt tailored to US, to what WE would like. It's so easy to get stuck in the weeds on the designs because you can go down to the minute detail, but Christy was always able to take a step back and help us focus on the big picture.The weeks, days leading up to the wedding and day-of was a perfect blend of mindfulness and time management. Brooke stayed on top of every element, and I'm sure she put out fires we were not even aware of. She was so on top of the flow and schedule of the whole night. We simply did what she directed us to do and we were so grateful for it. Brooke really filled us with confidence from the very start of the night and we had the absolute perfect wedding.Wedding planning is so weird. You enable folks to realize the setting of their perfect union but everyone has their own aesthetic choices and priorities. Orange Blossom is like a commissioned artist and the wedding is a blank canvas. They shape every stroke around what is communicated and makes sure that they're creative enough to give options that one did not even think is possible. They realized our wedding better than we could have in our wildest dreams and we could not be more grateful they had the stamina and tenacity to push this boulder up the hill for over 2 years.

A+, amazing to work with!!! My wife and I worked with Janna for our wedding.Conventional wisdom around weddings is that you always hit unpredictable speed bumps on the wedding day. Turns out that's only true if you don't have a good coordinator. If you do have a good coordinator, like we did, the experience feels seamless.Our day was beautiful. Janna managed everything perfectly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. If there were speed bumps or hiccups, I never learned about them. Janna was so good that her work was invisible; whatever issues came up were resolved before I realized they were there. It gave me the freedom to be totally present and emotionally open on the wedding day. There was nothing for me to do except show up with my full self and experience it. I can't put a price on that.If you're thinking about working with them - do it. You will be glad you did.

Lily from OBSE did the magical and amazing task of bringing the bride and groom's very specific, and personal vision to life in all its glory. Everyone was blown away by the feel, look, warmth, ease and beauty of the wedding. Lily made it all happen in ways that surpassed all of our expectations. The most wonderful thing we heard from the bride and groom that day, was that they felt so comfortable and relaxed at their wedding. Lily was instrumental in making the entire wedding weekend a home run , a slam dunk, a gold medal, and a precious prize all rolled into one! It was an absolute pleasure working together with her!!

If you are reading this, just book them already!!!!!! You won't regret it. We had Janna as our month of coordinator but she did so much more than just helping us in the last few weeks. Our venue that we booked a year out cancelled, and we had to find a new spot in under six months. Janna stepped in early to help but also to make sure everything was smooth with the vendor transition. She answered my (many) emails and was so instrumental in keeping the wedding planning easy and stress free. I want to emphasize how key it was having orange blossom on the day of the wedding. From last minute guest cancellations to making sure every detail was perfect, Janna and her team were incredible. I felt so supported and was able to be totally present and enjoy the wedding, knowing that the timing and details were taken care of!Every vendor I spoke with also raved about the team at Orange Blossom. They are professional, kind, so friendly and just lovely to be around. I can confidently say the day was perfect and we have our planner to thank!!!!!

Janna Takeyama and Orange Blossom ruined our wedding. Hiring her was one of the worst decisions of my life, and knowing what I know now, I would have paid to not have her at my wedding. She has no concern or effort for your wedding, absolutely no attention to detail, she is completely unresponsive, and dangerously careless. Below are just some of what she did wrong, and if you want proof or more details before you consider booking her, please reach out, as I have the receipts.We had plant-based desserts for our vegan guests and gluten free desserts for our guests with Celiac disease. Janna was told about this, and the desserts were clearly labeled. She then mixed them up and mislabeled them; had I not discovered it in time, we would have had a medical emergency due to her dangerous carelessness.It took weeks for her to answer emails leading up to the wedding, even ones that would have taken about 1 minute to respond. This continued in the month right before our wedding; we would follow up with her and just get ghosted. When we received our timeline, almost everything was wrong on it (even our wedding date!), and we had to do it ourselves for her. She relayed that our vendors had questions for us, but did not relay key answers to them. Luckily, we realized how bad she was doing and reached out to most of our vendors ourselves, otherwise it would have been even worse.There were dozens of details that we specifically told her about that she didn't deliver on. She'll acknowledge what you say, but she isn't writing anything down or remembering what you talked about. Our wedding party speeches are not recorded because of her, even though she was explicitly told to record them using our phones she had in her possession. Her assistant threw away $100s of items that she was explicitly told to keep. We spent so much time, effort, and energy planning every detail, only to have her mess everything up. Overall, she created more stress and more confusion than she solved.

We worked with planners Danielle and Ella from Orange Blossom for our wedding in October of 2022. Hiring this team was, by far, the best investment we made for our wedding at Cielo Farms. Danielle is, to put it plainly, incredibly freaking good at her job, and if you are able to hire her for full planning (in addition to the day of coordination), you will not regret it. With a background in film production, she handles detail, organization, and high-stress situations with grace and care. From the other reviews, you can see just how wonderful this team is in helping to bring to life your vision, and I wanted to add some specific things they did that really went above and beyond. 1. Budget Tracking - Danielle put together a fantastic spreadsheet that was consistently updated as we went about making choices. She was highly respectful of our limits and helped us weigh each decision with precision and care. She was fully honest with feedback on what she felt we should spend more or less on, to hit our total budget. I never once felt unnecessarily pressured to do anything, and truly felt that we were getting her genuine advice as an experienced friend.2. Vendor Communication - They tracked all of our vendors, reviewed contracts, and ensured our vision was properly communicated. They saved us ample time having to go through yelp reviews and make guesses; they instantly collated all the best vendors they knew, saving us so much time and energy. Of course, we gave feedback and went back and forth on choosing who to work with, and they listened and applied all of our requests. Specifically for our wedding, we actually took a full week off to do nothing but plan (months in advance). They set up all of the meetings back to back, traveled all over the city with us, and no joke, we had 80% of the wedding planned by the end of the week, and were able to, for the most part, relax and enjoy our engagement for the remaining months ahead of the wedding! 3. An understanding of traditions and timing - I am not a girl who grew up knowing exactly how she wanted her wedding, and I knew absolutely nothing about wedding customs or expectations. OBSE was able to help us navigate between our vision while also incorporating traditions and family expectations (and customary etiquette, such as when to send invites, website details, etc.) 4. Day of Support - Our wedding was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic, and on the day of our wedding, there was a threat of rain at our completely outdoor venue. This was our nightmare, given that we had chosen to get married outdoors in LA since it rarely rains here. Danielle patiently walked us through all of the options and made a plan that did not compromise the integrity of our original vision -- we clear-tented everywhere except the ceremony area, and it was a fantastic choice for everyone's comfort (and the pictures turned out stunning). I could not imagine making this decision without her experience and calm approach. She woke up at 6 am on the wedding day to connect with us and finalize. And then, the rest of the day was truly perfect. OBSE staff was highly attentive and multiple steps ahead each step of the way. They made our family feel like A-list celebrities and handled all of their own individual requests just beautifully. We truly look forward to working with Danielle and her team at our family's future tentpole life events. Coming from a girl who never thought it was possible to actually have a dream wedding, I can assure you that you are in fantastic hands with Danielle.
