Olive Knolls Christian School

My second grader just finished up the summer daycare program, he had an amazing summer! Lots of fun and engaging trips and activities in a safe and Christian environment. He came home happy, sweaty and dirty, every single day!

Great spirit driven school. The staff are very caring, helpful, professional. Our little one loves the people and the school. They are a Bible based school extremely and highly recommend.

We decided to go to this preschool for my daughter as it came highly recommended. Their front office was not very organized and often didn't have their paperwork together and I didn't like their class schedules for their kids. I would ask my 4yo what she learned at school and she would say nothing (she would always talk my ear off about what she did at our previous preschool in San Diego). She was often in a timeout every day as well. I rarely was able to talk to the teacher as pickup/drop off was during recess and my dd's teacher was "conveniently" on break. I felt like I had to pry info about my child's progress out of the teacher. She was very cold and unapproachable. Her teacher was natalie. In the end, the school and Natalie broke my daughters love for school. She normally is confident and runs off to play as soon as I drop her off. Before we left she was clinging to me and crying begging me not to leave. The students bullied her and made her feel worthless (some of the stuff she told me just broke my heart). I was not happy with how Natalie would handle situations when my dd would make a bad choice, instead of a teachable moment, she'd just aggressively ask my dd why she did it and my dd couldn't answer. Miss Natalie would just put her in a time out. I had had enough of this and my daughters broken spirit so we immediately removed her after countless times I attempted to connect with the teacher and director with failing results. I never knew what was going on in class or events happening at school. I've never been more frustrated with a place and their disorganization. We've since gone to Little Ones Preschool and I've had 0 issues with them and we love it! Took my dd a month to no longer be afraid of me leaving her, but she loves school again. And she's NEVER in a timeout. So glad we left olive knolls. Never going back.

I have had a really good experience with this school. My daughter has attended one year of daycare and one year of Pre-K and all of her teachers are very kind, involved and accessible. I feel like they take a genuine interest in each child. My daughter always felt safe and loved here and that's what is most important to me. I like that she also gets reinforced Christian values and at the same time this school is very accepting without judgment. It's so hard to entrust people with your children in today's world. Not just to teach them but to protect them. I definitely feel confident in recommending Olive Knolls as a place you can trust to send your child.

This daycare and elementary school are phenomenal! The teachers show so much love to our children! I could not feel better about where our kids are at! Our kids are truly happy to go to school here!

My 2 kids have attended Olive Knolls Christian School and preschool for the last 9 years. OKCS is an amazing school!! The teachers and staff love the kids like their own. The curriculum is above and beyond what is taught in public schools. There is such much 1 on 1 help when a child needs it. My kids love their school and as a parents we love it just as much.

My child was left unattended by a teacher after nap time for approximately 2hrs. The teachers nor any of the other staff knew where he was. After 10 minutes of search the school grounds we found him in a class room asleep by himself. The class room he was is was where all the kids took a nap that day. The teacher who found him was also the teacher that left him in there after nap time. According to the school this teacher didn't follow their policy on doing a head count when they move to different classes nor did they take roll.

We had an undesirable experience here with our 3 year old. Disorganized, cold and unhelpful directorial staff. Many times I called needing clarification and my calls were not returned. They give you a packet of papers then you have to figure it out on your own. They use FACTS management which is another company who manages the tuition and it is only by direct deduction from your bank account. They will not help you with tuition matters in person. The preschool was very expensive and offered very little educational teaching. It was mostly a daycare. My sweet son who is loving, social and friendly began to not like going there shortly after enrolling. He would come home with food all over his face, filthy, and like he had not been assisted at all during the day. He was 3! After I unenrolled him, they "got rid" of the emergency supply pack I had provided for him, which was their requirement for his enrollment. Clothes, wipes, emergency blankets...they just told me they got rid of it, whatever that means. I was disheartened to have this be our first experience with preschool. They need to be more organized and provide better customer service to their student's families.
