Old River Grill - Riverlakes Plaza

Excellent customer service-today I went there with my friend who has several food allergies. She forgot to let the server know she is allergic to egg yokes and when her burrito came out with regular eggs instead of eggs whites she felt terrible because she could not eat her meal. It was her mistake, not the server's, and they fixed it with no charge. One of my very good friend owns a restaurant in town and I know the margins on food. They aren't significant and I am sure this was replaced at a loss. We appreciate making the experience enjoyable even with our oversight. Not only does Old River have a menu that offers a variety of options for those with food sensitivities and allergies (gluten free pancakes) they accommodated my friend's oversight. Thank you Old River Grill for going above and beyond. I love all of your establishments and visit them all frequently.

My family's favorite breakfast spot in town!We haven't been to Old River Grill in a hot minute, so I'm so glad we decided to stop and visit again!We came early before the breakfast crowd and were quickly seated very efficiently.It's definitely a supreme breakfast experience and setting, warm, cozy, welcoming. Inside is camping/outdoorsy themed.Both of our waitresses was very friendly with us. My dad has extreme decision fatigue, and the waitress was so welcoming and patient! She recommended her favorites to us and was very kind.Our food took about average time to come. We ordered the Pineapple Upside Down Pancake Special and my dad ordered the Killer Kern Omelet.One thing is for sure, there are HUGE portions! It's definitely filling, but I love their sweet breakfast selection. They have a wide variety of creative recipes, such as their iconic Cinnamon Roll Pancakes! I highly recommend any breakfast here, it will absolutely be delicious.Our overall visit was pleasant, staff was all very friendly and the food was great. Expect an amazing experience whenever you stop by Old River Grill.

This place is good. I went on a Monday morning and it was a little busy but the wait wasn't too bad. I had the regular eggs Benedict and my friend had the breakfast burrito. We shared the cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes were amazing. I highly recommend them. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The eggs Benedict was good as well; the eggs were perfectly cooked, however, the ham was a bit too salty. I took some of it off my dish. The service was fantastic, our waitress was welcoming and friendly.

Chilaquiles were not too bad, they could've used a little more sauce to liven things up. I was seated pretty quickly at the bar, and the waitress was attentive. They had pictures of the kern river over the bar so it was nice to look at while I ate my breakfast. Good food, good vibes.

"A sandwich for Lunch", yes it should be the title. Great, clean ambiance when I had a late lunch at this restaurant. I ordered their pastrami and bacon sandwich with fries and jalapeño pepper popper on the side. To my surprised, it was delicious and tasty. Oh I had a great time munching it slowly. I finished the plate. Waitress are attentive and all of them are asking me if I need anything as I sat alone in their bar. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for breakfast, lunch sandwiches and pancakes. I have to try eating breakfast with them next time.

4.2 stars Because: - hash browns could've been more crunchy and less falling apart - toast was smothered in butter (it was overwhelming)+ service was great! Things got to us pretty quick considering the rush on a Weds morning (10:30am ish)Definitely a good pit stop for some breakfast in Bakersfield!

This place is busy for a reason. With ample seating and a great reserve-ahead waitlist option, you don't have to worry about waiting too long at the restaurant. I love the enclosed outdoor seating. It isn't cramped like all of the other breakfast spots. Food is incredibly flavorful. You can get pretty much any type of food you like - Mexican, American, French, basque, and more. Every time, it is fantastic.

We love ORG!!! Chili Verde Omelette. Just sayin!!!!!nnnnnnnAnd get Jessica to wait on you. Never misses a refill and is all around awesome!!!

The food here is so good! It never disappoints!The service is always amazing. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Especially Jessica and Shelby! They are both such hard workers and work well together. They are friendly and kind and always smiling!

Always great food. They are much are great, but one of the reasons we kept going back because they're awesome pancakes.
